I'm wondering if someone who has very slow metabolism from years of dieting has a very hard time losing weight after surgery.

I'm sure my metabolism was very slow, pre-op, but after my DS I lost 100 pounds in slightly less than six months!

Hi Mary,

Honestly, I think that's one of the reasons the lap band wasn't enough for me.  A restrictive only procedure did not solve my metabolic issues.

What kind of surgery are you referring to?
