?? Revision Questions ??
I feel your pain. I went to a dr last week for a consult and he told me basically the same thing that my surgey was considered a sucess because I had lost 67% of the excess fat and the average is 75%. He said that because of that and the fact that I had only gained enough to put me 48%, the surgery he was proposing was only going to give another 20-30 lbs even though I am 90 lbs overweight. I am going to look into it and investigate because who wants to go through surgery for basically nothing?
Hi ,just thought I would let you know my story
I had my Rny in Nov 2006 ,I lost for the first 6 months only, and then a few pounds later the next year , I started off at 298 and have got to 215
I am going to have a revision and saw my surgeon today ,he also told me that I shouldnt expect the same weight loss as first time around, and I may not even lose any weight at all ,I am having the pouch/outlet redone ,he reckons that the lowest weight I may get to is 180lbs ,but not to have hopes of that even I am now wondering if its worth having surgery again for this amount. I am in the UK and we dont really have a choice ,only what is offered by certain surgeons Susie x
