Finally admitting to myself
I had a doctors appt today, and I finally admitted to him, after having felt terrible about myself for some time, that there is something wrong. I am down 80 pounds. But, I was down 120. I told my doc that I wasn't sure what to do, as I did not want to go back to the surgeron who did my surgery... I asked him if there was any tests he could do. Well, turns out I need an EGD to check for bleeding and ulcers and what have you since I am iron deficient. So I guess this can check my pouch too to see if its ok?? My doc wasn't pretty sure what to do, so I am assuming this is a good first step. Any ideas on what else I can do? I am a little over 2 years post op RNY, and trying to get back to basics as far as protein drinks and such, but I still feel like I can eat wayyyy more than I should. Any input would be appreciated.
