lapband over rny

HAs anyone on this board had a lapband over there rny ? And if so have you lost alot of wieght?

I just had a band placed over my RNY 2 weeks ago.I don't start getting fills till the end of the month. I have seen post's from people that have been banded over other types of WLS and they seemed to be successful. The band will allow for the restriction that has been lost from the RNY. Remember that you still have to make good food choices and make sure that the surgeon that you choose has banded bypassed patients.  Good Luck, Cathy

Just a quick note to inform newbie’s searching for info on Revision surgeries....have you looked into DS?  It's an option overlooked by many.  Go to the DS forum on OH and ask questions....we have quite a few revised to DS from other WLS

I know of several people recently who my doctor has revised from rny to lapband but they are still new to know results.  I had a revision to lapband from VBG and love it.
