If I have a revision surgery how can the pouch be tighten up?  I am not talking about having the stomaphx procedure because my insurance does not pay for it.  Can a pouch be tighten up without the surgeon having to completely redo my pouch?  Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I had an open revision Oct. 17, 2007, the doctor said he had to take out at least 60% of my pouch, that is how much it had stretched out, I am really rather small now.  Losing slower than the first time, but it is a steady loss, a total of almost 40 pounds. i don't know what else they can do since I am only a newbie to this revision, just knowe I needed the pouch smaller, the stoma smaller and I went distal.

Donna, When you say the doctor took out 60% of your pouch do you mean he removed part of your pouch?  I didn't understand that part clearly.  Seems like you had a lot done to your pouch, stoma, and went distal.  Are you having any problems with gas because you are distal?
