burning in small intestine?

Hi, i'm 8 years out of RNY proximal, and have a new symptom, burning in small intestine when hungry. sometimes all upper stomach area.  Have had no problems expect gaining weight. wonder if its just digestive juices working different now.. any long timers with new problems? NO problems except now.  THanks jane

I had my RNY 4/99 and recently I've been having severe heartburn!  It's terrible!  I to have started gaing a lot of weigh back even while dieting.  I went on a detox "back on track" diet about two months ago and drank tons of water, protien, etc.  and lost 9 pounds in a week.  Prolly from peeing so much, but I just couldn't take it any longer because I thought all the liquids were causing my heartburn, but no it's still there.  I regained the 9 lbs + 3 more.  Thanks for that! I'm in revision mode now.  I can't wait to see what my upper GI reveals.
