The two consecutive week rule is also a good way to uncover malfeasance and process problems.
I?m not from the pre-microwave era but I didn?t. Get my first one until it came with the house I bought in 2013. When I moved here, I had the choice of a really pretty hood or a built in microwave and I went with the hood, lol. I use mine for popcorn and that?s about it..I used to use it to warm up my Everoast deli chicken but after the boar's head recalls, not so much, lol

This is a good policy! We do still have bereavement and jury duty as separate and there's a whole parental leave policy as well. We are also on the only 6 day observed holiday and the stretch from January to May is so so so long, lol

How long have you been with your company? We switched to ?unlimited? time off a few years ago, which is really just a balance sheet change for companies and puts the requirement to be sure to take time off on the person. I?ve been with my company almost 29 years so I say I have 5 weeks pto and try to take that amount off (I am very good about it!) but when I hit 30, I plan on upping that to 6 weeks.
I like to benchmark against other companies that still have defined vacation or sick time.

Have they done any dry needling? When my shoulder was healing, they would to that when my pain was high. It sucked that day and the next day but did help after that. It was explained to me as acupuncture (the needles) meets electricity and the electricity creates micro injuries that the white blood cells rush to heal so it boosts your immune system. I found it very useful

Thank you for sharing the photos from your trip and your uncle's story with us. As long as someone remembers and speaks their name, they are still with us.

my 6 foot Mando and grogu fold down into a very small box, maybe 18 inches square? same with my christmas dinosaur with penguins. The inflatables actually compact down nicely.

Health care in the US is primarily a for profit business, unfortunately. And it's based on insurance profit and decisions not actual medical needs.

Both my GP and my trainer said there is no science behind the having to use your hands/limbs to get up = shorter life span. But they did say, trying to do that is a good way to hurt yourself, lol!

Because you get to the end of the week exhausted, have you thought of adding a rest requirement? Something like 2 nights a week X hours of sleep? Now, as a lifelong problem sleeper, I have no idea how one does that but I like the idea, lol

I hate the open enrollment period. Would it help with your decision on the FSA is you consider that the real benefit is the pre tax vs post tax dollars? If you put 1k in and need it, it's going to save you x based on your tax rate because , but if you don't put it in and need it, you won't have that tax savings. Obviously, if you put it in and don't use it, then that's cost but you would have gotten the Tax break so it might not be as bad as you are thinking.

It's funny figuring out what things you can have in the house and what you can't...for example, now and even before WLS, I could have pints of ice cream and they would be untouched/barely touched so long they would get freezer burned...but have me bring in the TJ's hold the cones or an ice cream sandwich and I will eat all of them in 5 minutes and be sick Other things, I know if they are available to me, I won't crave them....I always have a good chocolate bar or 6 in the fridge, knowing I could have one if I want it, they last forever and I didn't buy any GS cookies this year because I still had them in the freezer from the prior GS season. They are still in the freezer, just in case.
On the flip side of that, I bought some jalapeño cheese curds from a cheese place in Wisconsin and I won't be buying the again. Apparently I've transferred the "the sleeve is a serving" approach from thin mints to the jalapeño cheese curds. no one needs an entire packet of delicious cheese curds. I have one left and it will be the last!

One of the rules for my program was "no eating in front of screens"...wind shield, tv or computer. I'm still pretty good about not eating in the car but have gotten much worse about not eating in ring of the computer. Need to go back to that rule!

When I was in college back in the last millennium, I did persuasive speaking and my topic was seasonal effective disorder. Now they realize it's a legit thing but back then not so much. I am hide from the sun, point and laugh at me in my swim leggings, long sleeve rash guard and giant hat...but if I don't get sunlight two days in a row, I'm likely to stab someone. Sunlight is important and I think anyone that lives in a gloomy place need a sun lamp too!

lol, ours include instruction to make loud and big movements but to not be high pitched (it sounds like prey, I guess). Look, I can be loud or I can be low pitched, I cannot be both!!
