Good mornin Jen and everyone. Hoping that your mom is ok and it is just precautionary! Hope you find out what you need too,
I have an appointment late this morning. We have some running around to do but not much. My shoulder is starting to hurt a bit more but it's still a vast improvement so I would do it again.

this clasp cost 13 dollars so I am going to show it off. It's h8ghly polished solid stainless steel and designed by a friend of mine. First time I could justify the price for myself...this one's for my niece but I ordered one for myself! Woot!
Good morning this is going to be quick I just found out that my mom is in the hospital. I'm not 100% sure what is going on, but I plan on calling the hospital to find out. She 80, still works a full-time job and takes care of all the animals she has since my stepfather is as useless as tits on a bull.
I know she's had a cold for a few weeks and has been to the doctors a couple of times. Just last Thursday she saw her PCP and they ordered a chest X-ray and looked her over but didn't find anything out of the ordinary at the time
Well Sunday she got a call from their office asking her to go back in to see them on Monday to recheck her vitals. Her heart rate was 110 and the X-ray showed a little fluid in the lower part of her lungs. The doctor was also concerned about her heart not sure if it was something on the X-ray or not, so she told my mom she wanted her to go to Mirriam Hospital in Providence which is the best cardiology hospital in RI. Of course, talking to one of my sister's this morning she's going on that mom has congestive heart failure and all this other crap. I'll be taking a half-day of work to go see her.
No QOTD I just can't think of anything.
Food is up in the air, but I do have mini mozzarella balls with tomato and cucumbers if I get hungry.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!
What are your biggest regrets or things you wish you had known before surgery
We haven't set anything in motion but as soon as we do I'll let you know! That'd be fun!
Good Afternoon! I hope you got your truck running, I dislike dealing with car issues. We had a good weekend and dinner on Saturday was terrific.
QOTD: Nope, sometimes it's on for background noise but we will probably be in our Sunday napping/watching a docuseries mode.

QOTD- No, just NO. Honestly I hate KC and Mahomes. I also can't stand the Taylor Swift hype.
OK I sound like a grouch.
I made it to the nature park, the first time since I hurt my back. I did a little over a mile and it was pretty slow, but at least I got out there. It was sunny and about 40 when I went. Today is another sunny cold day so I'll try to make it again. It was 22 when I started work.
I've got to go I have a Teams meeting I need to get on.
Have a great day everyone!

My husband loved football and we had four TVs going in different parts of the house all the time, partly because he did not want to miss a play when in a different room. Every Sunday was a football party and Superbowl Sunday was a special party.
I don't think I have watched a game since he passed away. I paid attention for a while but then completely lost interest.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everybody!
My two weeks with the continuous glucose monitor ended yesterday. I didn't realize that it could have been fifteen days if I wanted to, but I had already started to take it off when I read about the extra day. But I learned what I needed to learn in 14 days, I'm not sure an extra day would have made much difference.
Probably not surprisingly, the readings were pretty consistent with where my A1C has been trending lately, which is about a half point higher than goal. Overall about the equivalent of 7.0 and she would like to see 6.5. I was in range 62% of the time and the doctor wants to see 80%. What was surprising to me was to see how high it spiked after I eat. My fasting is at a nice level, but as soon as I eat something it goes up out of range. Even when it's something without carbohydrates, the level spikes (although not as much).
My plan of action is going to be to try and switch to lower glycemic snacks. I think that if I lower the frequency of spikes, i should be able to get where she wants me. I printed out some materials on snacks and I am going to work on that for a few weeks and then try the monitor again.
The monitor was pretty comfortable to wear. Sometimes it would sting after I worked out, maybe for a half an hour. I didn't have any problems keeping it stuck on even during swimming and showering.
QOTD: I'm also sick of all things Chiefs. I'm sure that we will watch but don't have any formal plans yet
Breakfast: Protein bar
Lunch: Italian Beef
Dinner: Tenderloin
Have a great day, all!
