Topic: RE: Still Sick n Sufferin on Thursday

I'm hearing a lot of pain and frustration in your post, and I want you to know that you're not alone in experiencing complex family dynamics alongside health challenges. Your father's behavior sounds incredibly toxic and manipulative, especially regarding financial control and emotional manipulation.

From my own experience managing a chronic health condition, I understand how family dynamics can significantly impact your mental and physical well-being. The stress of constantly being undermined and having basic support withheld can absolutely contribute to physical symptoms like feeling sick or experiencing depression.

Your description of your father essentially stealing from you and systematically blocking your opportunities is deeply concerning. These aren't just isolated incidents, but a pattern of deliberate harm. The emotional trauma of such repeated betrayals can absolutely manifest as physical symptoms - stress and emotional pain are real, tangible experiences that affect our entire system.

I strongly recommend seeking professional counseling to help process these experiences. A therapist can provide strategies for setting boundaries, managing the emotional fallout, and potentially developing a plan to protect yourself financially and emotionally.

As for your current health situation, it sounds like you might be experiencing a stress-induced condition. Your body is likely carrying the weight of these ongoing family conflicts. Consider getting a comprehensive medical check-up to rule out any underlying issues and to get professional guidance on managing your current symptoms.

Hang in there. You deserve support, respect, and the opportunity to heal - both emotionally and physically.

Pain management was tough. Recovery took longer than expected. Tracking nutrition and staying hydrated were my biggest challenges. Slowly rebuilding strength was key.

Good afternoon menu friends!

I'm slow going today but have actually got a lot done. Sheets washed, clothes washing...we also got groceries.

We found out yesterday that w have to have the main toilet replaced. Ggggaaaahhhhreat. We also have to get the kitchen sink line cleaned as well. All together over 1000 bucks. I'm paying what I can and we'll have to pay it off Monday. I could only give 300 because I got paid today. It is what it is.

I feel icky right now. Not sure what's got me feeling icky eigher. Laying low for a bit.

QOTD: I do it sometimes in the summer but often forget about it all together.

B: pita half pocket sandwich and coffee

L: other pita half with hamburger and cheese, Cheetos ugh.

D: probably an egg, zero net carb small tortilla and maybe some feta.

There is actually grounding mats that you can use in the house so you don't have to walk around barefoot.

Blueberry will be wonderful. Enjoy the blueberries. I have been diabetic since I was 39. One thing they caution you is to never be barefoot. A tiny cut could fester and cause you to lose a leg. When you are diabetic wound healing is very slow.

Happy Friday Gang!! So an update on the skeletal remains that were found they were not human. I guess it was pieces of bones and not an entire skeleton so you couldn't tell right away if it was human or not. The State Police had the bones tested and they are animal bones. There is a lot of wildlife from deer to bears around the plant so it does make some sense. I will let you all know that since February there have been 7 bodies or remains found in CT and just over the line in RI. Some were female and the others were males. All but one are cold cases. A woman's torso was found in a suitcase in a Groton, CT cemetery and it was her roommate that killed her.

Not much going to for the weekend except I want to go blueberry picking tomorrow morning. The weather is supposed to be nice so crossing fingers I get there in the morning and then back home to do outside stuff.

QOTD: Has anyone ever heard of grounding or earthing? The Earthing Movie It has to do with the earth's energy and walking around barefoot. The Youtube video I posted explains it. I know if I walk around outside barefoot for a while I can almost feel the energy in body coming back.

B: coffee and eggs and squash

L: last of the chili

D: grilled fish and yellow beans

weight machines and treadmill at the Y.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!

Good morning, everyone!

Well, my tooth is broken all the way below the gum line, so I have to get it extracted and put in an implant. That is about a seven month process. It's what I was expecting, so I can't say I'm really bummed out or anything.

I did just make it into the office, so I better run. I will probably keep my food pretty soft today. And I will ask Jennifer about Connecticut River murders and answer QOTD tomorrow .

P. S., it's Lollapalooza, so not exactly quiet in the office today.

I joined in 2003 when a friend had RNY and told me about the site. Back then it waq very busy and a lot of people had lapbands and seemed to be sick and vomiting everyday. I finally saw a weight loss surgery doctor in 2007 and he said that a lapband was not what he recommmend for me. I had RNY in October 2007.

I was very active on another site and very successful with the weight loss. But at 30 months I started gaining back. My surgeon told me that would happen but it was so depressing to not longer fit in my clothes. The site I was on was really focused on selling their protein shakes and some of them were awful. te I found good and bad advise here and learned who to communicate with and who to ignore.

I was trying to eat like a "normal" person with meat, vegetables, and a starch at every meal. Lots of pasta, noodles, or mashed potatoes. Lots of home baked cakes, pies, and cobblers, and ice cream. It did not make me sick, it just made me gain weight. I finally got control during the pandemic.

I joined Weigh****chers Online. They were developing their new program and I was part of helping to test it. With that program I finally got all the excess weight off and sometimes doctors want me to gain more. My goal was 136 and I got down to 118. I am 126 and that is a good weight for me. I learned a lot from this site and a lot from Weigh****chers. This is not an easy journey but still glad I had the surgery and got control of the weight.
