Morning gang. We had a really nice time in New York. But wow, was it crowded. All the streets around Times Square were closed off, and just shoulder-to-shoulder with a million people. Just crazy. We drove back yesterday, and it was nice to be home. JB is working half a day today, and I'm meeting her at a fancy Boston restaurant for High Tea. It's her mom's birthday. I suggested Burger King as an alternative, but was shot down. What's fancier than royalty?
QOTD: I'm fairly happy with my routine. I've been doing pretty well reining in my eating when it's too high for too long. In a perfect world it would never get too high. But at this point I have to accept it will never be perfect.
Happy New Year to all!

Good morning, Chrissy et. Al.
Back at work today. I had a nice break, but all good things come to an end. I kind of like coming in for a 2 day mini week before getting back to the grind of the 5 day week next Monday.
I think that we are about to get some real cold weather over the next couple of weeks. I have a work meeting in Orlando the last week of January, so that will be something to look forward to.
Sorry about the game yesterday, Julia.
QOTD: This is timely. My endocrinologist wants me to try a 24 hour blood sugar monitor (she actually suggested putting it on at the office, but it was New Years Eve). So I'm going to try that and see if there are things that I should be changing up. I'm happy with my weight, just would like to get my A1C a bit lower.

Have a great day, all!

The more weight you take off now proves to your surgeon you will be a success. He wants to know you understand it is a lifestyle change and not just an easy way out. Also, the more you lose the easier it is for him to get to the organs he need to get to. It definitely will help your recover more quickly. Just continue following his asks. He knows what he is doing.

Good Morning Menuer's
Hope everyone had a great holiday. I can't complain it was nice. Is anyone as glad as me that it is over? I sure can use a rest and considering I was able to tear down all the Christmas stuff last weekend it looks like this weekend is all about relaxing. I cannot wait. First, I have to get through these 2 days of work.
QOTD: Anyone (Like me) need to change up their routine for 2025. I have some extra pounds I am not happy with. Today I have to get back on track. I plan to do 2 protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and sprinkle in some coffee and yogurt. Then I plan on eating through the leftovers for dinner. Right now, I have my Colonoscopy scheduled for next Tuesday, so I am doing low fiber till it is over.
Accountability: Yesterday I woke up with 2 New Years Pretzels and Now we have none and there is only 2 of us.

My New Years memories are wearing fancy dresses, dancing, eating traditional foods, and kissing everyone at midnight when they played Al Lang Syne. Then driving home in a car where everyone was drunk and it seems like the drunkest person was always the one driving. We survived all that craziness and now New Years is a quiet night at home and I will go to bed by 10:00.
It is a cold and rainy day here today and it feels good to be inside looking out.
Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year! I'm at work like normal but it's all good. I hope everyone's new years celebrations are safe and fun! Let's bring joy and happiness to 2025!
Hello everybody!
I'm off to a late start today because I had a doctor's appointment this morning. Scheduling a doctor on New Year's Eve was a little crazy, but I guess it had its good side also. I will do my official post-holiday weigh in on Monday 1/6, but the damage doesn't look to be more than a couple of pounds. I will take that.
Our plans for the next couple of days are mostly football, friends and Alaskan King Crab tonight. Aside from a trip to the gym tomorrow, I don't plan to stray very far from home.
Happy New Year and a wonderful 2025!

Hi gang. Late post for me. We've been wandering around New York city all day. A quick break and we're going out to dinner. The crowds here are bananas. It's like three football stadiums emptied out into the streets all at once.
QOTD: I always have goals, but I've never tied them to the New Year. I'd just like to end this year at the same weight I'm starting it.
we always had a lot of returnees in OH in January. I wouldn't be surprised to see some, still.

Good afternoon on this last week of 2024! I have quite a few projects. I'm in the middle of at work, so it should go by pretty fast.
QOTD: not typically, but it can be a good time for me to reflect and reevaluate what changes I might like to see.

I remember the long lines at Weigh****chers the week after New Year's when we all went back to our diets. That would last until about March. Now I make resolutions on a daily basis. As I get older, I find it is important to still set goals and have things to look forward to. It is all one day at a time and do my best to stay as healthy and active as possible.
