Morning gang. I've had an exciting day so far. I went to the plumbing supply house to pick up a new toilet, and got a call from the restaurant supply house to pick up the pizza pans I ordered. So pizza may be on the menu this weekend. Wicked exciting, right?
QOTD: Most of my recipes are for desserts, and are really only special occasion foods these day. As far as meals, I don't have recipes. Cook the meat. Done.
Have a great weekend!

Good morning, everyone!
Long swim today, 1760 meters. That?s long for me at least. Spent 10 minutes in the Hot Tub, showered at the gym and drove into work. I usually hate driving, but Friday traffic is light (in relative terms), and the pool is close to the highway.
The gym has all old school toiletries like Barbisol Shaving Cream and the combs in containers filled with blue disinfectant. My hair is so short I can comb it with my fingers. When Marilyn went to Kohler last week, she was raving because they had Dyson hair dryers in the ladies locker rooms.
The weekend kind of splits up because Marilyn and my son are heading to Florida early Sunday morning. I will drive them, and we have a dinner Saturday night. Basically, busy first half and quiet second half.
My vice came, so I may tie my Clawdaddies on Sunday.
QOTD: Nothing comes to mind, but Jennifer?s stuffed quahogs sound great!
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: stuffed shells
Dinner: Tacos
Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning Jenniefer and Menuers,
Yeah, for Friday. I am expecting a fun weekend. Tomorrow I will do the gym I am signed up for Cycle and a Crazy 8 class. Then off to mom duty. We are celebrating Rons 50th Birthday. Tomorrow we will meet up with his twin for a fancy dinner then a little casino action. Sunday I am having 12 for Ravioli dinner. Then I hope to rest at some point too. So, it is all good.
QOTD: Yes, the way my family makes wedding soup is very unique. It has broth meatballs and we call them breads. You make pancakes with 6 jumbo eggs 1 cup flour, and parsley. You cook them like pancakes. Then you cut in little cube. When you throw them in the broth they puff up. Anyone who has it just loves it. I will actually make as 1st course for Sunday's Birthday Bash.
Accountability: Better than usual.

Good mornin all.
We're meeting my aunt out today for the thrift store and lunch. I'm not excited...LOL. My aunt is just not my favorite person, she created a lot of bad memories as a child. I'm excited for the thrift store for some reason. Maybe that means I'll make a find today.
I was able to more sleep last night than I have in a while. A 2 hour solid block of it. Unheard of for me and I'll take it. No big plans for the weekend here. We'll be doing laundry as it was to cold here to do it. We're supposed to get over the freezing mark today, woot!
QOTD: lemon meringue pie and I'm known for an egg custard pie. My brother still requires it for his birthday every year. On my fathers side my Gran had a recipe for a three bean salad everyone loved.
Food has honestly not been great. Not horrible but much room for improvement. Tomorrow I'm going back to tracking which I've fallen away from. It's really the only way for me to be successful.
My favorite pic of Ms.Tange yet. Some chainmaille and a meme.
Good morning everyone. Another week in the books. Woke up with a headache which is odd since I very rarely get them. Took a Tylenol and hopefully that will get rid of it. Today is the last day of the BAU audit. Then a couple of weeks of down time until we have the first of our semi-annual outages.
Not much planned for the weekend. I think I'm going to start getting things ready to plant some veggie seeds so my plants are ready for the end of May to go in the garden.
QOTD: Do you have a favorite family recipe? I have a few, but I think my absolute favorite would my mom's quahog chowder and clam cakes. The quahogs which is a type of hard-shell clam in New England really gives it a great taste.
B: coffee and poached egg with cheese and avocado
L: pizza slices
D: baked haddock with brussel sprouts on the side
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day and wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Good afternoon y'all.
Nothing exciting going on here today. I did an at home A1c test and it supposedly went down .5 but I'm hoping hay my pcp will do one at the clinic. I'm happy with any drop but I'm also hoping for bigger one next week.
QOTD: no, there are many food desserts in this country. Healthy and fresh food isn't always available. To me it's an excuse to stick it to poor people or those that are less fortunate. I get SNAP benefits since I'm on disability with no real other income. 72 dollars a month. The problem isn't with us. While there are some who do abuse the system, far more of them are not and are struggling. Going to food banks.
food as eggs for breakfast and a Buckies BBQ sandwich...well half of one for lunch. Dinner will be stew.
Morning everyone. Nothing new here. Nice and steady. Still cold, but warming up starting on Sunday.
QOTD: Why are the people who constantly complain about "big government" want to stick their noses into people's shopping carts? That sounds like big government to me. Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong. There are already restrictions on what people can buy with SNAP. The only thing that's broken about the system is that it covers a small fraction of what people need to eat. It doesn't need to be cut, it needs to be expanded. We're creating more poor people every year. The last thing we need is another billionaires tax cut. Those folks are doing just fine. Stick your noses in their shopping carts for a change.

Good afternoon.
My whole post got lost on my original attempt to post. Here's a quick post.
I have treatment today and I build it helps this week.
QOTD- no. Snap recipients shouldn't have restraints on groceries. Processed foods are cheaper and they already can't buy enough groceries and can't afford to give their kids money for cafeteria lunches. Sometimes the parent has to work overtime or the kids forget their lunch at home. I think they should do more for snap recipients like require that 20% of their monthly balance needs to go to fresh produce.
B yogurt half protein shake
L: nothing. Maybe grab something in an hour if I can squeeze lunch into 10 minutes.
D: subway. It's been years. I'm looking forward to it.

"History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes." - Mark Twain.
QOTD- I don't think there should be micro-managing of people on SNAP. People are going to buy what they want. You can't force someone to eat healthy we all know that or we wouldn't be here. The sad thing is that the manufacturers put things in foods to make them more addictive.
I got my hair done yesterday and I get my nails done this afternoon.
My Mom has been having issues with her Credit Union. She's been unable to login for extended periods of time and with the MFA she can't get the code on her landline phone-it no longer calls her, and she isn't fast enough to get in from her email and put it in the login screen. They want me to be there with her, I'm not sure what I can do. I can remote into her computer and help her that way, but this is crazy. I told her to dump this credit union and go with mine, I've been a member since 1978 and have never had issues like this. She will be 90 in May and I realize she isn't very tech savvy any more, but it's so frustrating for her.
My friend from work just got a new puppy, a golden doodle. He's so adorable. Unfortunately he has pneumonia and may not make it. She's had him for less than 7 days and the seller should be responsible for the vet bills. Send her some good thoughts she really needs him to be OK.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, Jennifer and Menuers,
Still cold out but me and Rudy braved it and got a little walk in. I need to run to Walmart today and also stop and get my mom's prescription. Looking forward to the weekend we got a lot planned.
QOTD: I know that people sell their benefits to get money for Drugs and Liquor. I am sure if this goes into effect the ones who want it will find a way
Accountability: Food wise good but I need to start moving more. As soon as the weather breaks since it is staying lighter longer.
