Happy Monday Gang. What a great weekend I had. Got a bunch of stuff cooked for the week including the shrimp recipe that is on the main page of OH. Only thing I did different was use shallots instead of the onion. If you guys like shrimp, I recommend trying it out. I also cooked another corned beef, a huge beef brisket which was done in the oven for 7 hours with a French onion sauce/gravy, beef jerky, hard boiled eggs, and then cooked a turkey yesterday. So, we are set with protein for the week.
I helped Irvin with the brakes in the dump truck, but something isn't right because there is still air in them. I did some prepping of raised beds, moved the young egg layers the big coop/run and as you see from above the bean sprouts are doing amazing. I think we can eat them at the end of the week. Oh, and my Wisteria plant gave me some seed pods last year, so I planted what seeds I had and low and behold I have 7 Wisteria plants growing. Very excited about that.
QOTD: If you couldn't drink coffee anymore in the morning what would be your go to drink? Mine would be a nice big cold glass of milk. There is something about cold milk that I love even though I really don't drink a lot of it except in my morning coffee. LOL

I just have a general question that may sound kind of odd. But could someone respond back to me with your thoughts? What symptoms would a person experience if there is a problem with their staple line? I had my surgery in 2011. I have been doing fairly well but experiencing pain in my stomach. I realize this is very general, because pain in the stomach could be from a number of things. But I would like to specifically ask the question. Thanks, and I appreciate your replies in advance.

Good luck on the shamrock shuffle. I 'ran' it 10 years ago. I did it for a girl. We broke up the week of but I still did it. It proved to me that I'm capable of doing this health thing and led to the start of the weight loss journey.

QOTD- Probably band and stage band. I also loved Algebra II.
Cute kitty bed that so far they are ignoring.
It's rainy and cold but supposedly it will be in the 70's this week. My greenhouse blew over again last night, it was really windy. I'm not going to fix it now, I'll wait until it isn't so windy and rainy. It's not staked down which is my fault.
I need to get back to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all and Happy Friday,
It is a beautiful day to be alive. I am excited for the weekend. It is looking like it will be nice weather after a few days of ****ty March weather.
Chicago has a lot of cultural things available for free or cheap if you know where to look. Free museum days, Chicago resident discounts, concerts, tool library, $15 Symphony tickets, theater ticket lotteries $25 seats on the 25th for Broadway theatre shows.
Currently the $25 applies to every show. I'm hoping to snag a couple tickets in tonight's lottery. Tomorrow night, the plan is to cook us a fancy dinner and nice tenderloin roast. It will be really nice if I can surprise Paula with a night at the theater too.
QOTD- My favorite class was Journalism and being an editor/writer for the school newspaper for 4 years. That being said, I only attended 25% of classes my senior year.l got Bs despite only doing the tests and big papers. I was working two jobs by that time and already had enough credits to graduate. Had I actually applied myself, who knows?
