Good mornin Jen and everyone!
I've got an appointment this morning with pain management. We'll likely go to Sam's afterwards but other than that not much is planned. It's a crisp 24° here this morning. We still have a lot of snow on the ground. Normally it's gone by now. I wish I could send some moisture to L.A. but we needed it too. It's just such a sad situation going on.
Not a lot going on this week. We're supposed to get a frigid cold from this next weekend. Lows in the single digits. I could live without it and my ol man Frankie could too. It's hard on him. We started him on a dog hemp oil and it's already made a difference for him. He is able to get up easier and it's chilled him up a bit. He's always been a high anxiety dog. We had to take Tange to the vet Saturday. She had an infected wound from Percy dragging her off the old cat tree. She got a shot and some pain meds. We had been treating it at home but Friday she started downwards again. She is already acting so much better. Playing and eating like normal. The older cats haven't even tried to attack her in over a week. :::knocks on wood:::
B: eggs, cheese and coffee
L: probably some chicken pot pie
D: chicken with Brie and some kind of veggie.
Good morning, everyone!
It's cold in Chicago today, but pretty snuggly on the train. It looks like it will warm up towards the end of this week and then get very cold next week. Fortunately, I have a work trip to Orlando the last week in January.
This weekend was pretty quiet, mostly football watching (mostly bad games) and CrossFit. My son made enchiladas last night, so I'm hoping to score some leftovers for dinner tonight.
I put my 24 hour sugar monitor on yesterday. I was getting spike alerts after each meal, so I disabled that feature. I think the stress of the alerts is something that I don't need. Over the 2 week period, I will try and figure out where I can do a little better.
QOTD:
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: enchiladas, hopefully!
Have a great day, all!

Good Monday morning. Not much happened the weekend. We did go get a big alfalfa bale for the rabbits and the farm we went to in Somers, CT sells dry aged Red Angus beef. So we ended up getting some brisket, sirloins, and liver.
Then we went to my SIL's to see about using one of her Billy goats to breed to our two girls. We picked her boy Patches who is a year and a half old and just a little cutie. He should cross well with ours. We pick him up this weekend and we will have him for a month.
QOTD: I'm kind of stumped for a question (I haven't had enough coffee yet LOL) If anyone has one please feel free to post one.
B: just coffee Irvin did a fast yesterday and this morning before his doctor's appointment so I joined him.
L: Cajun turkey wrap with Swiss cheese
D: leg of lamb with cheesy broccoli
S: cucumber and celery
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day everyone.
Thanks so much for your reply. I will just go ahead and take it once every morning in 8 ounces of water. Thanks again White Dove!! I knew that if I came on here, I would receive the answer that I need.

I take as needed, but it is fine to take every day and many people do.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only one with this issue. I was not aware that this was an issue after WLS, especially with me being so far out. I have maintained my weight and wear the same clothes since I lost 100 pounds. It boggles my mind though. I exercise regularly. There's a whole lot of stuff that I don't eat. However, I could use a boost in my fiber intake. My question to you is, is it going to be safe to take it every day? I would be okay with that if it means not being constipated. I don't even have a hard time going every day several times a day. Then when they do the xray they see all kinds of stuff in there backed up. I will just go with the Miralax every day for now. Thanks again for any and all responses and opinions.
Monica
chronic constipation is a pretty common problem after WLS. A lot of us (including me) take a capful of Miralax every day to keep on top of it.
Thank you so very much for the reply. I went to the local pharmacy, and they recommended Miralax, so I will be starting on that as soon as possible to see if that works. The only other question that I have is whether or not you use Miralax routinely, or do you only use it when you are feeling constipated? Thank you
Monica
Most of us use Miralax. I also take a probiotic. I do not know about cleanses, but ask your doctor to recommend something. There is prescription strength laxative that can be prescribed.

I had my surgery in 2011. Since then, I have had almost chronic issues with constipation. Can someone recommend a safe and effective colon cleanse? It would be much appreciated. Thank you and please reply to [email protected]. I really need your help and opinions.
