Topic: RE: What's on your Thursday menu?

Good morning all and Happy Thursday,

It's a wonderful life. I drink it's milkshake. I drink it up.

Made more difficult phone calls and actually made headway! For my new car, I filed a claim on the trucking transport co's insurance. After tracking down who underwrote the cargo policy, I spoke with the adjuster, gave him the executed letter from the company admitting fault, and it should be pretty cut and dry from here. I also called lawyers and insurance companies from the July 8 & August 29 accidents, ss disability lawyer, went to the DMV to find out what else I need for transferring my old handicapped plate to my new car. I also continued making phone calls trying to set up medical appts.

Dark Sanctum Music Festival tonight; and probably candy throughout the day. I went to a Howl-o-ween event last weekend. Since all the dogs were dressed up for a costume contest, I put on my dog mask to mess with the dogs.

QOTD- Robert De Niro in Heat or Pee wee in Pee wee's Big Adventure.

Steps: 3040. I'm frustrated that I'm not able to come close to the 10k steps anymore due to the physical pain with every step. I may stop posting steps since it reminds me every day of the digression I've made over the past month and that it's my new normal.

B: Cucumber, chive cream cheese and lox, yogurt.

L: Rotisserie chicken taco.

D: A restaurant in Pilsen, by Thalia Hall. Maybe S.K.Y. with Stephen Gillanders.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

I got through one project yesterday too that is for the acquisition coming up, which is no longer confidential and all staff knows. The owners are going to the new dealerships today to meet employees, on Halloween!

Good morning ~ Happy Friday-eve, or thirsty Thursday! Are you drinking enough water? No, I'm not. It's like feast or famine lately. I'm killing it one day and the thinking what happened the next. I've been busy and distracted so any tips would be appreciated. I was able to finish my report yesterday, I just need to submit that today - yay! Otherwise I plan to spend the day breathing. What a game!! Rob though for sure the Dodgers were doomed in the 3rd, but not me - I had faith. Then NY blew it - oh the errors! It was an awesome game! Rob set off a few piccolo pete fireworks he's been saving since the 4th. Actually, there were quite a few going off in the neighborhood at that time, it was pretty cool.

QOTD - If you could live in any movie - which one (or two) would you choose and why?

#1 - The Quiet Man - because I belong there in my soul!! I love all the characters like they are family. #2 - Sex in the City because it's so fabulously extra and fun. How extreme, right?

Accountability - Great on food, 52 active minutes, 9,377 (damnit!) steps. Today I'm 167.8, I have 30 minutes done on the treadmill. 20 resistance workout planned after work

B - coffee, Jimmy Dean egg cup

L - ham and cheese on protein bread, pickle, tomato

D - baked chicken, green beans

s- spicy quest chips w/plain greek

Have a wonderful day!

I do not know anything about geting surgery in Canada. In Mexico you will be steered to get a gastric sleeve. I personally do not believe that will work as well as RNY. Dr. Alvarez used to post on here a lot. He does gastric sleeves in Mexico. He has many videos on Youtube that are very informative. Do you research well, it is a big step in life and you want to be as successul as possible.

If you are playing for your surgery then Mexico can be an excellent option. We have a Mexico forum on Obesity Help.

Health care in the US is primarily a for profit business, unfortunately. And it's based on insurance profit and decisions not actual medical needs.

Topic: Time Flies - 3/6/2002 - My RNY surgery date!

Congratulations on each of your decisions to take the "Journey" of a lifetime. On 3/6/2002, I had the RNY gastric bypass procedure. This was WAY back when the procedure was fairly new. I've maintained a 90 lb weight loss, steady at around 15 pounds from my goal weight, and have never looked back. I'm 74 years old now, and so very thankful as this was the decision that's allowed me to live to this ripe old age!!! My philosophy is to have anything I want, in moderation. That has worked splendidly for me over the years. Sending MANY Blessings to everyone today and for your future! Cathleen

P.S. I tell everyone that I didn't get this OLD by being stupid!
