Good Tuesday Everyone. Well, my husband and I were at the town hall at 6:02 this morning to vote. We were surprised at how many people were there waiting.
I've come to the conclusion over the last 6 months that no matter who gets in as President nothing is going to change for the better. Both sides have never truly said what they would do to change things while in office. They just bicker against each other say the same stupid **** over and over again. I'm tired of the commercials. I'm tired of the violence against people and properties because of who they chose to support. This election has been nothing but a dog and pony show. I still can't believe Trump and Harris were the best this country had to offer as candidates, at least there were other parties on the ballot to vote for. Yes, I don't like either one of them.
We went a few weeks ago bought a gun safe and $400 in ammo because it will be a cold day in hell if a Republican or Democrat tries to take my right away to defend myself and my property.
Any who I'm off my soapbox.
QOTD: I was either 14 or 15 and I would climb in the old apple tree behind the barn to get the apples near the top.
B: Mushroom tea
L: Turkey and cheese wrap
D: Chicken burger
I hope everyone has a safe day.
What really worked for me was allowing myself to have any food I want. I do follow the rules most of the time, but know that I can have something not really healthy if I want.

Good Morning Mary and Menuers,
Thank you for starting us out, Mary. I work the 9-5 too Amy so welcome to my world. It is the traffic that makes it not so fun. It's not bad coming into work but coming home always seems crazy to me. No need to vote today because I mailed mine back about 2 weeks ago. I just hope we know the outcome quickly. I am very impatient. Yesterday I did a Dexa scan and today I am meeting up with a bariatric team. I am so overwhelmed with the head hunger and hoping they have some kind of cure. I am tired of watching the scale go up and up. If I did not come here, I do not know where it would be.
QOTD: Never.

Good mornin everyone.
it's been a rough few days for me. The PT homework is making my shoulder almost unbearable to deal with. I was up most of the night with the heating pad because laying in bed wasn't working. I have my next appointment tomorrow so we'll see what they say about it. I am taking the day off from them today.
I am super super stressed about the election here. Not just for national but there is a few pressing things here in Amarillo. One is called prop a. I am hoping it gets voted down but knowing the people here I bet it will pass. I've decided not to watch the news today much, if at all. It will be what it will be but I am worried like Lisa about my nieces future rights.
QOTD: the last time I was in my early to mid 20's helping my grandpa cut down a tree. I was young and dumb. My grandpa didn't have anyone else to help him most of the time so I did it most of the time too.
food is iffy today. I had some soup yesterday that's upset my stomach so who knows. I had a piece of toast for breakfast.

Good morning! I am the opposite on the election today, Mary. I have a lot of anxiety and feel strongly that the choices I made last week and the choices made today will have a strong impact on my Grand girls in the years to come. I hope everyone feels comfortable voting their conscious and I'm working on hard on keeping my "girl with the half full glass" attitude today. I've done what I can and now it's time to accept what comes next. I really think I will have less anxiety no matter the outcome because at least I won't be assaulted from every angle with political ads and pleading for money.
I love the meme today.
Today is another travel day. We are heading up to Paso Robles and taking two days to get there. Tonight we'll be in Carpenteria and hoping to have a beach view from our hotel. After we get everything packed and the dogs to the sitter, it will be a low key day. I done my chair yoga session and repeated yesterday's as well. One more way for me to get some movement in. I am hoping for some sort of walk to get my steps in after we arrive this afternoon.
QoTD: Definitely not since I was a child.
Bites today are up in the air. I think I'll have an egg and cottage cheese just as we leave here and I've packed healthy bites for emergencies. Other than that, I just have to try and make good choices.
Peace.

Good Morning! Thanks for starting the thread. Your Fall treat sounds perfect, enjoy. Thinking of Sheila as she works the polls today. I'll be too busy today to follow much with how the election is going but that's fine with me since we might not know the outcome today.
QOTD: I would have been 30 or 31 and it was barely a climb but Emily wanted to do it when she was little.

Have a great day!
Happy Election Day. I have pretty much ignored the election this year. I decided I needed to concentrate on my health and ignore the news. It has been interesting to watch people and just not feel involved. I voted early and it will be interesting to watch as a spectator and not emotional mess.
It is another beautiful day in the 70's again. If it were ten years ago it would have been a day of cleaning up leaves. Now the lawn guys will do that. The meme reminds me of a day I was visiting a friend. Her lawn guys were there and she always bought them fresh donuts. She decided to give them a healthy treat and roasted kale. They were not thrilled when she bought it out to them.
I have been underweight all summer but somehow found six pounds in the last week. I needed it and not so dehydrated. The water fills in the wrinkles.
No menu plan for today. I will heat apple cider with a cinnamon stick and have it with a cake donut. My favorite fall treat.
QUOD: When was the last time you climbed a tree?
I was 42 and had a kitten that kept running outside and climbing a tree. She was afraid to come back down and would cry for help. I started climbing the tree and bringing her back down. I developed a terrible pain in my leg and ended up going to a doctor.
He said I was doing something that was stressing my leg muscles, I was too embarrassed to tell him I had been climbing a tree. I made sure the kitten stayed inside and my leg healed up.
