G'morning all!
My daughter doesn't stop talking about her cat. Every pic she sends us is of "her son" in various poses.
Not much going on here. Last week we had a couple of power outages and our microwave stopped working. Had to call in the service and hopefully today he is coming to fix it. Last time this happened he mentioned the fixing is costing more than buying a new one, but we can't do anything about it. It's one of those framed in the cabinet microwave and they no longer make those measurements. Here hoping he is able to fix it.
QOTD - BOTH!!! If I had to choose I'd go with weights because they really sculpt your body. I am a convert since I met my trainer. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when I can increase the weights I work with. It could be just a lb or two but it makes me feel strong. I do the cardio because it's good for your heart, although on my run days I drag my feet.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- TJ kebabs, homemade tzatziki
- Cherries
- Protein icecream - Nutella
- E: 5.5 miles wog
Happy jr Fri-yay!

Hey Matt - If you don't mind, could you remind of what your treatment days are for? I can't remember.

Glad to hear you are enjoying swimming! My gym pool is outdoors. It's open year round and heated but its next to the coast so it's really cold there and no thank you. The closest indoor pool is an hour drive from my house or 20 minutes from work. An option if I really want to go.

It's running rampant through our dept. I'm getting notices daily about exposures but current policy is treating it more like the flu now. I hope she feels better soon.

Good morning all and Happy Thursday.
it's another beautiful day in chicago. I have successfully stayed away from all convention related nonsense downtown.
Today is a catch up day. Tons of office calls, personal calls, and check ins. I'm setting myself up to be away from my home base for a couple weeks.
I forgot to post that I've been doing step counts for Little while now. My goal is 6k but I'm able to do a lot more. Yesterday was 14k+.
QOTD- Cardio. Weights will be integrated into my routine soon enough. Right now, I'm working on building a habit of going to the gym.

Good morning, everybody!
We had a nice day yesterday. My older son and I picked up Marilyn at the airport. On the way home we stopped at a fly shop that we hadn't been to yet. It turns out that the guy who took us smallmouth bass fishing in June worked there. So we got to talk to him for awhile. Then we stopped for dinner on the way home . Marilyn got this Casio e Pepe made in a giant wheel of parmesan that she loves, i got noodles with a boar ragu and my son got gnocchi. Definitely leftovers for today.
We are staying in the city Friday and Saturday nights, so I need to pack up all of my gear for the race today. My bicycle is 25 years old, so we decided not to wa**** too vigorously for fear that something may come loose. More of a sponge bath. Of course I was well over 300 pounds when I bought the bicycle, so no doubt I looked for the thickest, heaviest, sturdiest one that I could find. Not ideal for racing.
My son wants to go fishing this evening, so that will probably be around 4:00. We have been able to load Marilyn's kayak into his truck fairly easily and she loves tooling around in that.
QOTD: Both. Like Amy, I have really enjoyed the swimming this summer and when I get back from Asia, I am going to have to think about finding a place where I can swim in cold weather so that I don't lose my progress.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Lamb chops
Dinner: leftover boar ragu and noodles
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning! Friday-Eve, I think anyways. Well Em did go home yesterday but she also tested positive for Covid-so now she feels guilty that she came to stay here. She started with a sore throat Tuesday and then progressively felt worse (she was testing daily and it didn't show positive until last night). I'll stay my distance from people and test often too.

Mornin' gang. We had another nice night at the ballpark, but it's our last one this year. Their last home game is over the weekend, when we'll be in Minneapolis.
Food is on target. No idea what the weekend will bring.
QOTD: I much prefer cardio. Weights are really boring, and too much like work.
This is for our Chicago answer, Matt and Jim. I'm sure they've seen it before, but it was a first for me. I think it's hysterical. I wonder if it was intentional.
