Good mornin everyone! We made it to Friday!
busy day ahead for me. Appointment with the pain management clinic and then we're meeting up with my aunt to go to the thrift stores and then out to eat. I'm really exhausted and sore so I don't really want to do any of these things. I'm hoping to get home in time for a nap or restful moment.
QOTD: I'm going as a childless cat lady. Ha ha.
B: eggs and coffee
L: probably a salad or half a sandwich
D: ????
old sunset pic and a meme. Also an obligatory pic of Tange.

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I have all kinds of exciting news. First, dad is home! I have no idea how he managed to go straight from ICU to home, but he did. The nurses were probably like - GET HIM OUT, lol. My other exiting news is that after 8 years with Ferritin below 10, my last labs came back and it's 47! Big shout out to Grim for keeping me alive. Next, I finally saw the scale drop to a number I was excited to see. It was only below by an ounce, but I am not mad. Anddd I slept like a champion from 9pm - 4:30pm so all it right with the world heading into the weekend :)
QOTD: Any Halloween costume plans this year? I have had big ideas for costumes for years but I never get around to doing anything. This might be my year, but I need some inspiration.
Accountability: I had a good day. Lots of water and stayed on plan.
Tonight we are going to dinner to celebrate Grim's daughter's birthday and the restaurant he chose is called the Cask & Pig. Everything looks suuuuuper yummy, but I just took my Wegovy this morning, so I am not worried about overeating. It will be impossible.
I am not sure what I will be up for earlier in the day but I plan to keep it light with lots of water and probably some greek yogurt before dinner.
Have a great weekend!

We have only ever had rescues and strays. We had one cat die of the feline leukemia and it was devastating. The vet gave us hope when she shouldn't have, just so sad. We were so relieved when Tange tested negative for it!

If Sheila sees this when she's back she'll probably unfriend me but they are pretty low on my list. I mean, Wendy's is higher.

As a single woman, I write quite a few checks. When an appliance is not working right, or there is a plumbing, electrical, or other problem I call a repair person and none of them take credit cards. They are all self-employed and it is expensive for them to pay the service charges for using credit cards. That is also why groomers and hairdressers want cash or a check. Some companies will take credit but put an extra 10% charge to cover their charges.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I only got brave enough to try sushi about a year ago. It is hard to believe that kids like it.

What made it gross for me was the marshmallows. Fruit and a whipped topping with coconut sounds great.

That is an amazing experience and the pictures are wonderful.

So glad that Tange is healthy. I have had bad luck in the past with adopting strays and dealt with feline leukemia and feline aids. I would spend a lot of money trying to get them healthy and end up losing them anyway.
