Good morning everybody!
We had a fun night. The HotPot was pretty good, basically you choose your level and they bring the table thinly sliced meats, which you dunk in your Hot Pot with chopsticks. We got h, pork and beef round. You can go to Waygu, crab, etc. for additional. A robot brings the meat.
There is a buffet with noodles, sauces vegetables, appetizers and desserts. I'm sure they made money off of my pouch, but All in all, it was pretty good and a nice dinner. I would not order the chicken again because it's chunks rather than slices and I don't know when it is fully cooked.
After dinner, my son and I tied a crayfish pattern and a leach. We will definitely catch fish with those.
QOTD: Yes, I remember it well. Our sixth grade French class had a Field Trip to Quebec City and we had just returned a few days before the storm. My father and Uncle were at the Beanpot (College Hockey Tournament in Boston) and barely made it home in time. I think we were off of school for a week.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: hamburgers
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning. I should have double checked before posting the menu thread. I got tied up with an incident on the tipping floor and didn't get to it sooner.
Believe it or not most dogs don't like beds in their crates. Meisha doesn't but does like her raised bed that is in the kitchen. For some it makes them too hot and uncomfortable. Of course, some dogs just like to be butts and destroy stuff just for the fun of it.
QOTD: We haven't exchanged chocolate in years, but it was Reese's for Irvin. He would get me a glass rose or jewelry as I told him I didn't want any chocolate. Now we exchange steak and seafood. :)
Happy Thursday!!! I got into work at 6:30 this morning to avoid the snow and it is supposed to be done by 2pm so I didn't have to take a PTO day. I like to keep them for the Summertime. It's been snowing since a bit after 7 and we have almost an inch. I think they said we are going to get up to 5 inches before it switches to freezing rain then regular rain. Then on Saturday night into Sunday we are going to get more snow they are saying over 8 inches. So not a fan of the white stuff. And today is the anniversary of the blizzard of "78". That storm put a halt to everything in New England for almost 2 weeks.
QOTD: Does anyone on here remember the blizzard of "78"? I was 3 when it hit Rhode Island. It was like that move the Day After Tomorrow. Nothing moved even the snowplows. The snow came down fast and furious at one point 4 inches of snow was falling in an hour. I don't think I've ever seen a storm that bad since. Even the forecasters were stunned by how much we ended up getting it was like 3ft and the storm surge in Providence flooded the city. They were finding bodies in cars on 95 and 295 days after the storm very scary stuff.
B: coffee and bacon, egg and cheese sandwich
L: thinking of getting some Chinese. Could really go for chicken teriyaki and boneless spareribs

No exercise today unless I get to do it tonight.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Good morning all and welcome to your weekend,
What? It's not your weekend? This is not right. You have permission to call off work and have a personal wellness day. Enjoy!
We woke up to iced over sidewalks, streets and pigeons. JK on the pigeons. We don't abuse our pigeons. I'm looking at you, Las Vegas. It will be a slow going day. I have treatment this afternoon and PT this morning.
My dog is an animal. And not like the K-9 animal but more like the Muppets' Animal. He ate his dog bed in the crate yesterday. He lays down in the crate throughout the day so I don't get him. He destroyed a brand Costco new dog bed last week. Bad Mish!
QOTD- What kind of chocolate do you and your SO exchange and eat for Valentine's Day? Since you're essentially buying the chocolate for the other person, how much do you eat of it?
I get Dove chocolate hearts for the weeks leading up and a few gourmet chocolates for the day of. I also stop by Long Grove Confectionary(Chocolate Factory) and pick up cherry malted milk balls and a substantial solid chocolate heart.

Mel you might think I'm crazy but see if you can get some bag balm. It is used on the udders of cows, goats, sheep, etc. because their skin can get dried out from milking and the bag balm keeps them moist.

Good mornin y'all. They are so cute! I love goats.
Nothing much happening today. My mom is wanting to go somewhere but I'm not sure where. I have another prescription to pick up and a few phone calls to make. Work on yet more chainmaille.
I've been having a hard time with the dryness of the skin on my hands. Especially around my thumb nails. I keep getting cracks that are very painful. I have used O'Keeffe's stuff with no improvement. I think I'll try some vitamin e...any suggestions are appreciated!
QOTD: I took a semester of recreational tennis in high school. I loved it. Far better than PE. I haven't played in YEARS but I liked to casually play it a lot.
B: breakfast burrito and coffee
L: ????
D: hamburger soup
Good morning, everybody!
Those goats are pretty cute. I fell asleep in front of the TV at about 8:00 last night, so I'm up bright and early this morning. Doesn't necessarily make me any more productive, but I'm here. I skipped swimming this morning, because I am really trying to get past this ringing in my ear. It seems milder than it was a few days ago and my hearing is definitely better.
Marilyn's windshield has a crack, so somebody is coming over to fix that today. When we lived in Massachusetts, the windshield replacement was free, but in Illinois it isn't. For some reason, Bronco windshields are expensive to replace, so Marilyn will actually submit insurance for it. But I need to be home to get them started and Marilyn is using my car this morning.
Otherwise, today is work from home, Crossfit, and we have fly tying tonight. This week is a crayfish pattern that smallmouth bass love. I hope that I really learn it well, because this one would be in frequent rotation. Before class we are going to a hotpot restaurant. To be honest, I don't know that much about hotpot, so I will have to check the menu.
Marilyn is going away for tennis next weekend (spoiler alert for QOTD), so I told the boys that I would take them out to dinner on Saturday night. I suggested Capital Grill for steak or a seafood place. To my surprise they picked this very glam greek place in the mall. Plus we are going on a Saturday night, so it will be even more so. I hope that the boys know that they will need to shave, bathe, and wear clean clothes. https://www.tavernavioli.com
QOTD: I do not play, but Marilyn has played on as many as 11 teams at the same time. She's addicted.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Chili
Dinner: Hotpot.
Have a great day, all!

I was wondering how the goats were doing. So glad you posted pictures. They are so cute.
We never would have had enough money when I was growing up to buy a tennis racket and tennis balls. That was a sport for kids whose families could afford it. When I grown I belonged to a private swim and tennis club and did think about taking some lessons, but never did it. Definitely would be a good workout.

Happy Hump Day!!! We are all halfway through the week. The little Billy Goat Patches is really starting to be a love with Thistle. They are sleeping together and eating together. Hopefully he brings her into heat and gets the job done which I think he will. He's a little over a year old and she just turned 3. Our other female Bean is just being a butthead and honestly I don't care if he breeds her or not. Here's the two "love birds". Patches is the white one.
In other news I found out that the UO's (utility operators) are not doing the equipment inspections that they are supposed to be doing each day. Things have to change around here or heads are going to roll.
QOTD: Anyone ever play tennis? Years ago one Summer I played with my husband just for exercise and I sucked at it. I'm much better at ping pong. I think it's because I don't have to run around a court chasing balls. LOL
B: coffee and bacon/cheese quiche
L: bok choy soup
D: baked haddock and shrimp casserole
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day everyone!!!
