Topic: RE: What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Morning gang. It looks like another perfectly average day. Not surprisingly it's much easier for me to stay on the straight and narrow, food wise, if I'm having a regular routine at home.

QOTD: I think the drone sightings are . . . drones. Seriously, the things are everywhere. When I started to process to switch to solar, the guy flew a big old drone up, inspected the house and roof, and flew it in ever larger circles around the house and quite a ways out. They did a whole big 3D model that would show them how much sun the roof would get at all times of the day and year.

Insurance companies are using drones constantly. People are getting cancelation notices if it looks like their roof is getting old, or if trees could fall in a storm and trigger a claim. They look for things like backyard trampolines, and issue cancelation warnings. They look for dogs in backyards that are against their policies. Drones let them do things they never could before. And all the different insurance companies all have insured homes in the same neighborhoods. People complain about big government, but it's Goliath business we need to rein in and control. They stick their noses in our business far, far too much.

Regular folks have super fancy drones. My brother has a nice one. It has GPS, and can fly to a set spot and return. It can measure the heights of trees and houses, record amazing video, and all kinds of stuff. It's got sensors so that it can stay perfectly stationary in a stiff breeze. It's pretty wild.

Drones are everywhere.

I don't doubt there are people on other planets. I'm not sure they've ever been here. If they have, they are so much more advanced than we are that we aren't going to see them.

Good morning, everybody!

One of our Happy Hour group sent charcuteries to all 4 couples. What a nice holiday treat! They are from a company called Boarderie. We will resist eating ours until the call tomorrow night.

My older son has an interview today, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for that. He is definitely trying to manage expectations, so is keeping his progress close to the vest. I would be really happy for him (and me) if he is able to land a job.

Saturday morning, we did 200 lunge steps, so i've been a bit sore from that. Back at the gym today though. 5 work days until break.

QOTD: I really have no idea. I have read that they could be a military test, but why over such a populated area? I have read that the military could be searching for something lost, but satellites do that just fine? The old weather balloon arguments don't seem to hold water here. Teenage jackasses? It does seem like there has been some attempt to normalize the discussion of UFO's over the last 10-15 years.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: turkey sandwich

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

This picture was taken over the cornfield in my backyard on October 23rd. The object on the left appeared first and then the center and right one appeared a minute later. These three objects hoovered for 10 minutes which gave me enough time to run up to the house to grab my camera and then run back down and start snapping pictures. This one came out the best. I have no idea what they were, but as fast as they appeared they just poof disappeared.

Happy Tuesday everyone. I posted the above picture because of all the drone sighting over the East Coast in the last week. I've always had an open mind and since I was 3 have seen and experienced some bizarre and unexplained things. Yes I do believe there is life outside of this planet and I also believe they have been visiting this plant since the birth of Earth.

This is going to bring me to the QOTD: What do you think the drones are? I personally think it is the Government putting them up to see how people react. I also think that we will be exposed to life from other planets/Galaxies in the next 5 years. But that is just my take on it.

Today is my Friday as I have the next 3 days off. I'm kind of liking only working 2-3 days a week and today is our Christmas luncheon so food is going to be all sorts of goodness.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

That is probably why you do not like vegetables. Vegetables are so much different when you go out and pick them yourself. No tomato from the store can compete with one fresh off the vine. I remember going out to the garden with a salt shaker to get a fresh tomato and eat it there.

QOTD- No not a Bruce Willis fan.

Work has been a little slow so I decided I had 2 Amazon returns that I needed to run to Whole Foods. So my car doesn't start. I ended up having it towed to the dealership the tow truck driver thinks it's just a dead battery. So I'll have them look at it do the oil change, tire rotation, wiper blade replacement and whatever needs to be done. Hopefully they will replace the bad sensor on one of my tires so the low air pressure light goes out. I know it's not low as I have checked and filled the tires many times. If my roommate isn't home I'll probably either walk or Uber to pick it up. If it's not pouring down rain I may just walk as it's only 2.3 miles and there are sidewalks the whole way. I have roadside assistance on my insurance so the tow didn't cost anything.

After all the hassle to put in the cat door I think I'm going to take it out. This is dead bird # 4 and I can't let him go back out anymore. It's not fair to the birds, the cats will just have to adapt to being totally indoors again. I wish I'd never bought the stupid door it hasn't ever worked right, and it was just a pain to install. It's supposed to only let in the microchips that are programmed but it worked for a day and stop recognizing my cats. This is the second one, and I'll just close the hole in the wall and call it good.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey gang. It sounds like you had a great anniversary. And I love the logs.

I just got back from mailing some Christmas presents. It really snuck up on me -- It seems early, but the packages will only get there on the 23rd.

Food and activity are on track. Rib roasts have been on sale, and I cooked a five pound roast on Saturday and I've just been eating that. Ham cat is happy. He also jumped onto the stove and started licking the drippings.

QOTD: I don't think of it as a Christmas movie. There are movies that have Christmas as a central theme, and then those, like Die Hard, that take place at Christmas, but could have happened anytime.

My favorite spin on it was that Die Hard is a movie about someone running around a tower, always at odds with Alan Rickman. So, it's a Harry Potter movie. The other one I like is for Love Actually fans, a Christmas movie. If you watch Love Actually followed by Die Hard, at the end Alan Rickman gets punished for what he did to Emma Thompson.
