I've had better bloody Mary's. This one tasted like I had a straw in a can of tomato juice. According to DH it was good (it had enough vodka) but the taste was off putting to me.

QOTD- Salty & crunchy.

I got my flu shot and updated Covid shot yesterday. My arm is really sore and I'm not 100% all I really want to do is crawl into bed and sleep or finish the book I am reading. I'm thinking that I might do that and work tomorrow.

We are in for about a 3 day stretch of over 90 days. 95 today and 96 on Saturday then down to 90 on Sunday and 77 and rainy on Monday. It won't be real rain just mist. But I will get my clothes hung outside. I hate it when I have to start using the dryer again. I love the smell of clothes dried outside.

I am so looking forward to football! The Ducks play tomorrow they are a 43.5 point favorite. I'm hoping I can see the game on Paramount + or I just wasted some money. That's OK now there are no annoying commercials.

Have a great day everyone!

G'morning all!

JB- enjoy your single life for the next couple of days.

That meme could be me in the very near future. I cannot believe one more night and we are off to Peru. I am very excited and look forward to the next 10-12 days adventure. We need to stay in Cusco (11,000 feet)for 2 days in order to acclimate to the higher elevation. Machu Picchu is "only" 8,000 feet but to get there at certain points we will be hiking at about 15,000 feet elevation. Then comes the doozy: Rainbow mountain at 17,000 feet elevation. We have purchased some elevation pills and hope that we won't have any big issues.

QOTD: sweet, sweet, sweet. I gotta say with my daily icecream regimen I'm taking care of my cravings and feel so happy and content.

Pics are of my seafood dinner on Tuesday and the sunset from the restaurant.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • TikTok cucumber tuna salad
  • Barebells bar
  • Protein icecream - chocolate cookie dough
  • E: 5.5 miles wog

Happy Fri-yay!

Good morning party people and Happy Friday,

It's been a whirlwind 24 hours.i have barely had time to breath. Yesterday, I left the house at 6

I had a crazy 24 hours. I got in a car accident at 9am. A lady going the opposite direction tried to make a left turn and hit my front, driver's side cornrt. My neck and back hurt and my car was undriveable.. I'm ok. Thanking God/universe for providing and let me walk away without anything serious again.

I had a cleaning lady do the move out cleaning. I locked up the place and left the keys on the counter. And the couch in the middle of the room.

I took a Lyft with 3 stops, poor driver - I pity tipped. Dropped everything off at home, went to the library and closed it up. I went home at 8 and packed. I got to sleep at 10. I was up at 2 am this morning for my 5am flight. I'm currently in the friendly skies, just about to touch down in Phoenix. Thanks T-Mobile for the free Wi-Fi.

QOTD- I want all the sugar and carbs. I have really been enamored with pastries that are a marvel by really good pastry chefs.

B coffee that I had to throw away.

L: something at my brother's house

D: Who knows. I also stop at in and out when I visit. I also like tire truck tacos late night. The crowd in the parking lot can make a jovial atmosphere sometimes.

Pics 1- This lady crashed into me. I did not ask her to pose like this. Or make the face. Her brother was there in five minutes acting tough. The police had a laugh. #2 can't wait to see these cuties. I brought them 1000 plus stickers to drive my brother crazy. #3 This may be a pretty scene but dont go to that establishment. #4 Mee Krob at a Thai restaurant for Paula's 50th.

Good morning!

I had a pretty good day yesterday. Nailed it on food. Had wine with dinner. 44 minutes of exercise and 10,71 for steps. Not a bad day for me. I'm up and heading out to the gym for yoga class and then I am trying Spin class for the first time since I aggravated my back. Wish me luck.

After the gym, I have a wide open calendar. I would like to stop into Target to pick up some Quest crackers. It's right next door. We'll see how bad I smell.

QoTD: Salty crunchy almost all the time. With the occasional "I'd kill for jelly beans or caramel corn" thrown in.

A couple pics from my walks and travels this week.

Look at this pony. I looks like God ran out of paint mid-pony.

Bites are TBD. It's too early.

Peace Everybody!

Mornin' All!

rain again today. It's been like this most of the summer. I REALLY don't want to go to the gym, but that's the only option. I guess I can take a book and sit on one of the stationary bikes for an hour. I haven't exercised nearly enough this week, and we've got that buffet tonight in the stadium box (football game), so even though I think I can control myself, it's still going to be a higher-calorie day than normal. Better to burn some of it off beforehand.

QOTD: I don't crave any one particular food, but I also like salty, crunchy things. I broke down and bought a bag of Lesser Evil popcorn last night at Costco. I was addicted to it earlier this summer but was eating way too much of it, so I quit buying it. But as long as I can limit it to one or two cups a day (40 kcal per cup), it's really not a bad choice - much better than tortilla chips or nuts (which we also have in the house). We'll see how this goes. I can just quit buying it again if it's going to continue to be a problem.

coffee with half & half

skyr with fruit

protein shake

protein pumpkin muffin

L&F yogurt, maybe an English muffin or a thin piece of Danish rye bread

at the football game - as I usually do with tables full of food, I'll try to load up at the fruit and raw vegetable trays (I hope they have either or both...) and allow myself a couple of treats so I don't give in and gorge

have a great day, everyone!
