I used to want to do whitewater rafting but now i don't think I'd like to get wet and have to sit in it like that. Age I guess has done that to me lol.

Good Morning, Friday-eve here we are! We are getting a little bit cooler temps which is nice as I am not ready for the heat yet! I plan to try and spend a little time outside this weekend but haven't decided on what to do yet. Training my new hire seems to be going well, keeping me busy that's for sure.

QOTD: No extreme sports for me, the most extreme would be the 1/2 marathons I did.

TSS: 10 years 8 months

B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, oikos yogurt and some fruit

S: A piece of fruit and yogurt

D: Grilled chicken, zero net carb tortillas, a banana and small handful of junior mints

ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast

E: Rest day

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1290 Protein:121 Carbs: 123 Fat:47

Have a great day!

Good morning, everybody!

4:45 is crazy early. Yikes! I'm in the office today, but tomorrow I have a breakfast meeting in the suburbs, so I don't have to go into the city. It's great because it still counts as an in-office day since it's a work function.

As expected, this has been a pretty easy week so far. I have a couple of calls and things to do and then I will watch at least part of the NFL draft tonight.

Marilyn went through her quarters the other day. She is collecting the woman's quarter series. You can tell those easily because George Washington's head is larger than on traditional quarters. So far she has them all through 2023 but only has one 2024 and no 2025. It takes awhile for them to move around in circulation .

QOTD: I have been whitewater rafting up in Maine. It was fun but a little scary. This is timely though, just Tuesday I was looking at a ride in fly fishing trip in Idaho. It looks awesome but I have not rode since I was in High School, so I would need some practice before I just hopped on.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: sandwich

Dinner: meatballs

Have a great day, all!

Good Morning peeps. I've been here at work since 4:45 for the annual physicals for the employees. So far everyone who has been scheduled to come in has which is a good thing. We have a couple of more days of nice weather until Saturday when we are supposed to get rain. Other than that not much going on.

QOTD: Have you ever done an extreme sport? The most extreme sport if you can call it that would a Hunter Pace on my old gelding years ago. It was a 4-hour ride walk, trot, canter and going over different obstacles along with through a small river. It was timed so you had to complete the ride in at least 4 hours or less.

B: coffee and 2 eggs with cheese/ham

L: chicken burger with salad

D: grilled pork chops

Hoping to get the treadmill or at least a walk in later today.

Have a great day everyone!!!

I bought a Sleep Number bed back in the nineties. They were brand new and called Select Comfort back then. I also had a Temperpedic bed. Sleep Number is ideal now because you can get it with heat and cooling and adjustable. But about $8,000 for the one I want so have been putting it off but will probably get one sometime soon. Once you get used to those type of beds you would never want a traditional mattress. You spend approximately 1/3 of your life in bed and it worth it to have the mattress that keeps you the most comfortable. We don't think twice about the price of a car and a mattress can be more important to our life than a car.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends

Good Morning, I missed posting yesterday during the day and by the time I would have been able to do so I am sure nobody would have seen it, lol! My new team member started yesterday and it seemed to have gone will (even with the overlap with the exiting team member). The next few weeks will be busy as I train and keep things running as smooth as possible.

QOTD: I think a sleep number bed would be amazing too! I prefer a firmer mattress.

TSS: 10 years 8 months

B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, oikos yogurt and some fruit

S: A piece of fruit and yogurt

D: No noodle lasagna (last piece of that today), a banana and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast

E: 1/2 hour elliptical and 2 miles on treadmill

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1335 Protein:118 Carbs: 113 Fat:53

Good morning everybody!

Did anybody watch the interview with the Australian twins who witnessed a carjacking?

Their names are Bridgette and Paula Powers and the interview is absolutely wild. I think that everybody is OK from the attempted carjacking and accident, but there is some spooky twinning going on in that interview. Maybe twins do have some kind of ESP.

It's pouring here in Chicago. I am home from swimming and it would be nice to go back to bed, but i need to be on a couple of phone calls this morning. Later, I need to go to the gym and we have Happy Hour tonight. This week is continuing to be fairly easy from a work perspective.

QOTD: I like about an average bed and a firm pillow. I need my head propped to fall asleep comfortably, particularly with the CPAP on. Of cours I can fall asleep instantly on the couch in any position.

Breakfast: Egg McMuffin

Lunch: Roast Beef sandwich

Dinner: Spaghetti and meatballs

Have a great day, all!

Happy Hump Day gang. I sorted through the bags of recyclable cans and bottles I've been collecting for the last month, and I have just over $100 to turn in. I mostly collect them at work but also walk my road picking them up since people just love to toss trash out of their vehicles. CT switched from 5 cent to 10 cent for redemption so it adds up quickly and a new redemption center opened just the next town over from me so it only takes about 10 minutes to return the bottles and cans now. Always trying to find a way to make a little extra money.

My garlic is really coming in nicely. I have 250 bulbs planted in this area.

QOTD: Do you like a firm bed or a soft bed? I would love to get a sleep number bed, but that's not in the cards right now. We do have a pillow top mattress that is semi-soft. Firm enough that you don't get sucked into the mattress, but still soft so you don't wake up sore.

B: coffee and quiche

L: ham and cheese wrap

D: chicken burgers on the grill

30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the vibration platform

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!!
