Late check on for me, it was a super fast and now I'm on vacation now so it was totally worth it. I am glad you didn't hit the deer, I know the damage can be horrible.

I was just going to say that!!
I've never seen a bear around here. But there have been turkeys here for 10 or 15 years now, and I started seeing Sandhill cranes a couple of years ago. I haven't seen any coyotes, but there are supposedly two who wander around our neighborhood. I also saw a red fox the other day when I was out riding my bike on one of the bike trails.

We don't have bears here. Mostly deer, possums, porcupines, coyotes and very occasionally mountain lions. Lots of lizards and snakes though...the later of which I could live without.

No bears but coyotes are a constant threat to domestic pets. My neighbor caught a cougar on her backyard camera and then it was spotted about a block away. My kitties do not go out after dark. No turkeys but I've seen a bald eagle right in our trees.

I read it is because we are building in their habitat and they have nowhere to live.

People were getting videos from doorbell cameras of bears coming up to their front doors to eat their pumpkins.

We have all those but the other day I saw a Bald Eagle in our Neighborhood. I knew they were about 5 miles away so was not shocked when I saw it. Oh, and we do not have bear yet.
