Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,

It was winter jacket weather this morning. Last Winters jacket is way too big. I love that I lost weight and clothes are huge. I don't love that I'm constantly buying new clothes. It reminds me of months after the surgery when I couldn't keep up with buying a new wardrobe that fit. My solution now. I go to a thrift shop when they do 3/$1. They get multiple washes and whatever doesn't fit gets given away in my neighborhood.

Treatment today. My intention for today will be actualizing how insignificant my issues and stressors are, in relation to the big picture. I'm just a microscopic, non-registering speck in the universe. Does it actually matter that much if I don't get enough done, hit that deadline, never miss a day of work, avoid anything that isn't a dopamine release...

QOTD- 23. I thought I had it all. I wouldn't change anything today and am proud of the man I am and life I've built. Obut am curious what would be different with a Mulligan.

Steps- 11,686

Good morning! I'm up and ready for the gym. Dressed for success. Amy, I don't look forward to my days with weights, but I am LOVING the changes in my arms and shoulders. It makes is sort of addictive.

Accountability for yesterday. No actual exercise. I filled my day with errands and chores and cleaned out closets and got all the Goodwill stuff packed in my trunk. I did nail 113 grams of protein. But only 266 move calories, 5 minutes of exercise and 6377 steps clocked. I can and will do better today. Food was great. All water, all day. I'm hate I've already used my rest day for the week and it's only Tuesday morning. LOL.

I must say that my partner and I picked 14 out of 14 games right for the football pool this week and even nailed the total points exactly for Monday Night Football. I should go buy a lottery ticket.

QoTD: This question is fraught with emotions for me and I could go on and on. But I won't. My birthday, 2005 was the most perfect time in my life. My weight was reasonable, but also, my home life was time of peace and contentment I won't ever experience again. That said, I am loving my 60's. Truly embracing all the things and working on being the best me I can be. Emotionally, physically, spiritually, as a friend, as a Mom as an MP. Life is very good for me and I am grateful for it and to be able to see it.

Bites today:

B: cottage cheese and rotisserie chicken

L: leftover cod with lime butter and sauteed leeks. 1 zero carb tortilla

3 pm Greek yogurt with jello pudding mix or beef jerky and Quest cheese crackers

D: pork chop and winter hash made with sweet potatoes

9 ish what ever I don't pick at 3 and only if I need it.

All water, all day.

Peace!

Good morning, everybody!

I'm in sweatpants today. First time since probably April or early May at the latest. I'm sure that we will have some more shorts weather before winter starts in earnest, but, for now, its in the high 40's and i'm in sweats.

Speaking of the carefree days of summer, I signed up for a Master's swim class. I loved my outdoor early evening swims and comparing notes with Amy, but the pools are closed so I am on to the indoor class. There are two choices: Monday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 and Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:00. Monday and Thursday are both in-office days, so I would have to drive 2/3 of the week if I did that, so I am going to go with the morning. We will see how I feel tomorrow morning as I try and get out the door by 5:15.

I have definitely had muscle and strength loss with Ozempic, so I don't think that I will be doing any more olympic weightlifting meets. I loved the triathlon and training for it (and particularly swimming), so that is the direction that I am going to go in to supplement Crossfit. That is part of the reason why i signed up for the Master's swimming. I am also going to go look at bicycles while Marilyn is in Dallas.

Pictures are from Vietnam, Cambodia tomorrow. I suppose that I need to talk about Weasel Coffee and Fish Massage at some point.

QOTD: I'm not sure if I want to go back, but 26 was a good year for me: my weight was down, I was starting to have some success at work, still relatively newlyweds, we had our first condo.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Bratwurst

Dinner: TBD, but we finished the chili

Have a great day, all!

I did not know of this trip to Tunisia. Is this for and adventure or do you have business there. I am intrigued.

Very inspiring. This is the type of posts this page has been missing. This is motivating and actually about your weight loss journey. We all need to hear this and set ourselves up for success. Thank you, Mary.

Good morning Amy and Menuers,

Wow Amy your monolog on the weight training is verbatim the conversation in my head about exercise every day. We know we want to do it, we know we have to do it. What in our heads makes it easy not to do it? It is an ongoing fight. However, once we get to doing it, we don't want to stop doing it and find time no matter what. It just those first 2 weeks then we are hooked. With that said someone may have been on the treadmill for 1/2-hour last night!! Look at me adulting! Unfortunately, probably not today. I got to go to Aldi at lunch, Walk the dog afterwork, be at moms by 6 to take her to bowling, then get back to my salon at Moms house because my hairdresser is coming for my every 7-week cut and color. After that I need to eat dinner, and I want to put a spaghetti squash recipe in the crockpot for dinner tomorrow. But I got one day in so you never know I might be motivated to get it in before bed.

QOTD: I am going to say 2021. That is when I was doing all the running and hit my lowest weight since childhood.

Accountability: To much grazing.

TSS: 6 years 10-months 4-days 168 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee-mate pumpkin spice creamer

MS: Chobani zero sugar strawberry Greek yogurt, apples

CB: Coffee with SF Coffee-mate pumpkin spice creamer

L: Arroz con pollo (a frozen meal)

D: bunless cheeseburger and butternut squash

Exercise: Dog walking

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest blessings
