Morning peeps. We're pretty much getting ready for the hordes on Thanksgiving. JB decided to get a new oven -- a double oven. And of course a new over the range microwave to go with it. They both require that the wiring, outlets, ducting, brackets, etc. get moved. So I'm doing all of that. I'm not exactly sure how "Let's have Thanksgiving here" turns into opening walls and running wires -- but it does.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are about the same these days. For me, anyway. It's family, friends, getting together. I'm not really religious, so I don't have that part of it involved.

I blocked Ava so did not know she had been posting. She has a lot of problems. Sometimes I get nausea like that due to sinus starting to act up. Hope yours is better soon.

I got a lot accomplished last week with cleaning and organizing and my ToDo list is finished for a while. Great feeling to cross so many things off and see everything done.

I bought a bag of Brach's Christmas nougats last week. Was going to save for Christmas, but opened the bag and in a few days I had eaten all of them. I will not be buying those again.

Christmas is wonderful. Our family has our big get together on Christmas Eve. It used to be at my house but now we rent a place because it is more than 50 people. It is a log cabin that was the original schoolhouse in our city. It has been restored with modern heat and plumbing. There will be a fire in the fireplace and one of my brothers will be Santa.

This is him playing Santa last Christmas with my great nephew Carter.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy Monday. Sorry I'm late to party. I woke up yesterday feeling like absolute crap. My stomach hurt most of the day and it even caused me to dry heave a few times. I have no idea why as I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. I feel better, but not 100%.

I just had to block Ava due to so not so nice things she was saying about a few posters on the daily menu thread, and I also reported her to admin. While I am not one to block people I will be dam if she's going to put any of you down when we all know she's the problem.

I will do the best I can to start the thread M-F as I know both QJB and Amy are busy with things.

Anyways besides the weird not feeling good yesterday I got a few more little things done in the house on Saturday and missed the Tyson/Paul fight Friday. We both crashed on the couch and forgot abou****ching it. LOL

QOTD: With holidays coming into full swing which one is your favorite between Thanksgiving and Christmas? I like them both, but Christmas and getting to see the grandkids open their gifts and the smile on their faces makes it the better of the two.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: chicken soup

D: baked chicken thighs with kale and bacon

Have a great day everyone.

I never paid much attention to him after he left here. What a crazy life. Wild animals used to be pretty common in Ohio. They changed the laws about 10 years ago, but before that there were a lot of people with exotic animals in Ohio. Often they were pretty neglected, with fleas and other problems. Every once in a while, one would escape and usually end up being shot. People kept them in cages and sometimes got pretty careless.

In 2011 an exotic animal owner let 58 animals loose and then killed himself. The lions, tigers, bears, giraffes and wolves were all captured or killed in the next day. After that incident Ohio made some strict laws about keeping exotic animals.

I got pulled over once in a car that was only three weeks old. The cop was super suspicious. He finally came back and said the plate didn't match the registration. Apparently they got one of the digits wrong. I had to go back and get a new registration. PITA

Tyson was once very skilled. But 58 years old is still 30 years older than Jake Paul. Old is old.

Tyson has led a very interesting life. You're right about the ups and downs. From troubled youth to Gus finding him as a teenager and being his father figure until he went pro. Once the predator promotor, Don King, had his hooks in his money, he was doomed to be penniless and thrown away when the well was dry. He spent lavishly, tigers and other exotic wildlife, overextended himself and was paycheck to paycheck. His paychecks were Hugungous still. He was then convicted of rape and spent 1+ year in prison. He was treated like a king in prison by the shot callers and COs. After prison, it took a minute for another right to develop. He started fighting unknowns way below hi*****hing weight. Then came Evander Holyfield and eating his ear for lunch. Fast forward and he was never in the same physical condition. After years, he got sober and started pursuing other business ventures. His ability and earning power were greatly diminished. He did a one man Broadway show. He started a cannabis company. He created his own designer line of weed. He owns weed farms. He gives back to the community. He mentors. He's a Buddhist. Family and spirituality are now #1 in his life.

He's still a killer. After Jake Paul talked trash, Tyson was Travis's saying Paul is a manufactured killer. Tyson said he's a natural born killer...

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

All the seafood I get is fresh. I have some really good fish markets around me and we have fish at least once a week if not more. In the Summer we eat a lot more seafood especially if we get out to go fishing in the sound.
