Good morning gang. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. It got up to 70 degrees and the sun was shining. When I got home I got two of my raised beds ready to plant some Swiss Chard and Kale in which if all goes well today I will be putting those seeds in the ground. I think I can start my squashes and cucumber seeds also in the house. I'm planning on getting the garden done on Memorial Day weekend so if I start the seeds now they should be ready to transfer outside around then. I'm really pleased with how some of my pepper plants are doing. I changed things up a little this year and started them in bigger pots instead of the small ones. Irvin's been going around the property and pulling any scrap metal out and junking it. He's made almost $500 so far doing that.

QOTD: I know some of you read books have any of you read Of Mice and Men? While the only books I've really read were the Harry Potter series and one about cadavers by Mary Roach my plant manager was talking about Of Mice and Men. He happened to have a copy that he brought in for some of us to read. I'm about halfway through it and what a unique look into the lives of two men in the 30's.

B: coffee and eggs with squash

L: Shrimp tacos

D: burgers on the grill

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!!

Your weather sounds wonderful. We might get snow. I love Swiss chard and planted it when I gardened. I did read Mice and Men years ago. I used to read a lot before Netflix and Discovery took over my time. Good work with selling scrap metal. Awesome to make that much.

Good Morning! It sounds like you're off to a great start with your gardening. I am out early today for a dr appt with the dermatologist. It's been probably 5 years at least since I've been so it is time I guess. My new team member is scheduled to start next Tuesday so there will be about a day and a half of crossover with the current team member which should be okay.

Kelly, I don't know if it's the case in California, but Dermatologists are super in-demand here. Every year, I seem to get a notice from the hospital that my Doctor has left and I have a new one.

Good morning, everybody!

Despite my misgivings, I had a pretty productive day yesterday. And after work, I went to the outlet mall and picked up running shoes, flip flops and a bathing suit for Florida. The only thing that I couldn't find was a swim shirt, so I ordered one when I got home last night. Today, I need to get some vitamins to bring down and get to work in the garage. My big thing is the I don't want to have to pack to fly down to Sarasota - just throw my meds, electronics and a book into my backpack and head out.

I got my bathing suit at Brooks Brothers, and it was a weird feeling walking into the store, because after so many years, there are now whole segments of the store that have become not applicable to me. There's no point in buying work clothes when I really only have about a year of in-office work left and part of it is during the summer months. And I don't really need winter stuff if I am going to be a snowbird.

Also on the docket today is a trip to Crossfit and probably a little bit of food shopping to get me through the next two days. Marilyn gets home at about 7:00 on Wednesday. On Thursday we are going to see Peter Frampton as an early birthday celebration for me.

QOTD: Yes. Robert Hunter's Lyrics to the song Jack Straw are based loosely on Of Mice and Men.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Roast Beef sandwich

Dinner: leftover kielbasa and pierogis unless the boys cook.

Have a great day, all!

QOTD- Yes I've read it, but for a more fun story from John Steinbeck I would recommend Travels With Charley he does a cross country trip with Charley a standard poodle.

Yesterday I worked so hard, I had 2 jobs to complete and actually got them both done. It wasn't fun and I don't plan on repeating that anytime soon. I have so much work it stresses me out. I don't multitask it is hard enough to get one job straight when I finish one and then I move on to the next. We have 2 new people starting next week so maybe things will slow down then.

It was a beautiful day yesterday 75 degrees and sunny. Today will be much the same.

Have a great day everyone!
