Good morning gang. Got half of my pepper seeds planted last night and in two weeks will do the rest along with some tomato and eggplant. Then in April I will do the other veggies that don't take as long to germinate and grow.

It amazes me how there are people who have a good paying job but just don't want to show up to work. We have a few people who since the beginning of January have called out over 10 times making up all sorts of excuses. Well today I had scheduled random drug testing for 4 people to get it done before the start of our first annual out on the 10th with the collector coming to the plant.

Don't ya know that one of the people picked is one of them who have called out just about every day shift he is supposed to work. I have tried to schedule him a few other times since the random picks were pulled, but he just keeps calling out. So I get to contact corporate and let them know that I cannot get him tested before the due date of the 13th because he again called out and is not scheduled for days until after the 18th and that is if he doesn't call out again. Oh and this guy has only been with us for 4 months. Me personally would fire him, but I'm not in control of that.

QOTD: What's your favorite day of the week? Mine is Friday. Just because I know I don't have to work on Saturday or Sunday. LOL.

B: coffee and 2 bacon egg bites

L: Ruben sandwich

D: spinach and ham quiche

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!

I worked in a GM plant where the minimum number of hours that had to be worked to keep your job was eight hours in a year. The department where I worked had the highest number of sick leave offenders. Twenty of the 32 people in that department were on the list of worst offenders. One guy showed up on the last work day in December. He had not worked at all that year and had to complete eight hours to keep from being fired.

At noon he showed up at my desk and said he was going home. He said, "you will hear from my doctor and from my lawyer". He ended up being fired.

At another job we had a lot of people sitting around at home waiting to be called in to work. One person was more than a year waiting for an assignment. When he finally was placed in a position, he worked two weeks and requested to be put back on standby because he did not like the work. He was fired.

We kept people on the payroll for up to two years just in case we needed workers. People have a sense of entitement that amazes those of us who go to work and do our jobs everyday.

Good mornin y'all.

Jennifer, I don't get that either. Esp after just being on the job 4 months. People have an amazing amount of audacity anymore.

It wasn't a good night. Moving along.

its been thunder snowing this morning. It's 36° outside. I'm over winter! Today we may stay home but it depends. We may go to Walmart or to pick up a prescription. My doctors office is supposed to call back about the ur analysis. Or at least she said she was supposed to call. We'll see! I'm going to try and start up chainmaille again tonight. My shoulder is really whacked and I tweaked my neck on the other side. If there is a way to hurt yourself and not know how I am the queen of finding it.

QOTD: not really sure I have one. Either day of the weekend if I had to choose. Not many phone calls happening then. I like it that way.

B: egg whites, bacon, cheese and coffee

L: chicken breast, carrots and maybe a 1/4 cup black beans

D: maybe soup.

Good morning, Jennifer and Menuers,

I have been at my job for 28 years. I get 20 PTO days a year. That includes vacation days, sick time, and bereavement. After you use your 20 days you need to file for FMLA. I have only called off 2 times at the last minute in 28 years of working here. I also believe we do not do drug testing. Sometimes I walk by some warehouse employees and wonder if we should.

Kelly I cannot believe Em is a sourdough girl. That will be rough. Maybe an extra 10 min on the treadmill will help. Good luck navigating that. Also sorry to hear about your losses. I went through a spell there when I was at a funeral every month. Just lucky that has calmed down.

QOTD: Of course, I love the weekends, but I always look forward to Wednesday. I think because Survivor is on, and I love that show.

Accountability: I grazed dinner. I need to start sitting down to a meal.

TSS: 7 years 2-months 21-days 166.8 Lowest (129.4)
