When I was younger I went to bed at 10:00 and slept until 6:00 AM almost every night. After I retired I started staying up until 4:00 AM and then sleeping until noon. Then I started a job that was an afternoon shift from 3:00 PM until midnight. I adjusted sleeping to those hours when I was not working.

When the getting up to pee started, that interrupped sleep every night. Now I sleep about three or four hours and then get up for a while and eat something, then sleep another few hours. If I don't sleep at night, I end up napping in the afternoons.

Sleeping eight hours is really something that we adapted to due to the industrial revolution and our peasant ancesters slept when I was dark and got up to take care of their animals in the early morning.

Good morning all and Happy diminutive, teeny tiny, fresh out of Wednesday's womb Friday Jr.,

l Love that there's positive news about your mom.

The plane crash is devastating.

I'm ready for the weekend. I have treatment this afternoon so I'll be MIA for the rest of the day. I also restarted physical therapy for my knee. Stupid insurance won't approve a knee MRI. They need to see PT sessions. Last year, I tried to do knee physical therapy and was denied cause I was doing hip physical therapy. They said the hip and the knee were treated as the same focus. Now, they said that doesn't count. So in physical therapy, I'm doing exactly what I've already done last year that caused more pain and that I know didn't help. I am going to ask if we can try to concentrate on the left hip during the knee PT.

QOTD- I don't sleep very well. 4-6 hours a night currently. I use a CPAP. I get up to go to the bathroom a couple times. Pain wakes me up too. I'll sleep when I'm dead.

The last time I did physical therapy I ended up in so much pain I could not walk. I learned the hard way that if it hurting you have to complain not just keep trying to work through the discomfort. The exercises that seem easy can sometimes cause a lot of pain. I try to do the right thing and stay as mobile and flexile as possible but have found out that the theraphy is not always right for me.

QOTD- Maybe 4 hours straight with Lunesta and the cats usually wake me by 4, sometimes I kick them out and try to go back to sleep but usually end up reading. Sometimes I can go back to sleep or a semi sleep with weird dreams.

I'm glad your Mom is doing better.

Have any of you seen the MrFluffyfriend? It's supposed to calm anxiety in dogs and cats. Well I bought one for my cats and the first thing the girl did is attack it, and eventually she decided it was a great place to pee. So definitely not a success, but then she thinks any box is a litter box. I've taken her to the vet and she did have crystals in her urine but has been on prescription cat food to eliminate them. She drives me crazy sometimes, but she is also the sweetest little girl.

I have a mani pedi this afternoon. I'm missing the sunshine today it is back to gray and cloudy so the rain is coming.

My heating pad died, and my back was hurting so bad I ordered another one, but it didn't get here for a few days so I went on Amazon and bought one with same day delivery. So now I have 2, one is much larger. But I'm good with that. They heat up so much faster than the old one and are much softer.

I need to get back to work.

Have a great day everyone!

I bought a heated mattress pad a few years ago and use it year round. Helps with sore back, legs, and feet.
