What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
Woohoo for the weekend! Chrissy said it yesterday, this has sure felt like a long week. Definitely a low key weekend planned.
My older son has been cooking, which is a great work saver for us. But I don't think that he really gets that one big meal can last me for four days. So there is still a big plate of steak leftover from Wednesday and tonight he is making crab and tortellini. I will try to finish the steak for lunches this weekend.
Since we are having the dinner tonight, swimming at 5:30 and Crossfit at 6:30 isn't going to fly. So the plan is to drive into the office, bail out early, try and go to an early afternoon Crossfit class, then take a 3:30 phone call from home. After swimming, I will be all about crab and Olympics.
Pictures are from Toronto last week
QOTD: We had them, but not every day. I imbibed.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Hot Dog and fries
Dinner: Crab and Tortellini
Have a great day, all!

Good morning ~ Have a wonderful weekend in Maine! Good day yesterday, one that made the 9 years I have left seem doable. Other days I want to run, but you know - balance. Still half work day Fridays for now and that makes me happy. Going to the pool after work for a no pressure swim. I'll practice other strokes and work on my kick - no distance goals, just enjoy the water and sun. I'll lay in the sun for a bit too. This weekend we are hiking a new to me rec open space I just found with 15 miles of trails - who new? And just a few miles from our house. A bucket of ball after, maybe a ****tail. Sunday I'm swimming then kiddo is coming over.
QOTD - YES - I can smell the exhaust fumes right now! There is one in our current neighborhood that comes several days a week playing Jingle Bells and Pop goes the Weasel on repeat - year round. I still get a rush hearing it and love seeing the kids running.
Accountability - Went insane with the peanuts last night. I had a little Kung Pao with my peanuts basically. 115 active minutes (45 min treadmill, 1500 meter swim) and 11,298 steps. Today I'm 168.8 pounds of peanuts, 35 minutes on the treadmill and lap swim after work.
B- coffee, protein brownie, protein shake
l - ham and cheese wrap
d - Dave's hot chicken w/hubs - never been
s - pineapple, jerky
My sister sent me this last week after our pool day. The left has to be my highest - no clue of the date though, the right was last Thursday.

Rocking it, my friend!
Your 168.8 of peanuts cracked me up.
OK, is it just me or other people do it too? I'm asking because you are swimming and we jus****ched all the Olympic swim races. Now we are watching track and field. And I'm watching their pace and how they push themselves and I'm thinking, yup super humans. So when you swim do you picture yourself a Katie Ledecky to push your self? In my head I picture Gabby Thomas ahead of me, way way ahead of me.

Gabby, lol! That's a great motivator! Next time, I will imagine Katie way ahead of me. I love watching swimming - I can't believe how strong and fast they are. I definitely channel her when I'm in the water, her form and reach is incredible. My endurance great, but I'm still a snail. I want get stronger and swim faster.
