What's on your Tuesday Menu?
G'morning all!
JB - I'm no Dr so this is just guesswork that maybe the GLP1 medication you are taking is affecting your sugar reaction. I guess in the long run it's a good thing so you'd stay away from sweets.
I am so happy to be back to my own routine and working at my desk. Yesterday I did a quick run to Costco for mostly paper products (paper towels, TP) and sadly noticed my Costco no longer carries the starbucks egg bites. I bought the Kirkland brand they have but really wanted the starbucks brand. I know, first world problems.
QOTD - hmmm, can't think of a "hack" per se, but does it count ordering coffee on the app before you get to the place? Or hard boiling my eggs 14 at a time so I always have hb eggs in the fridge. I know 14 is a weird number but the ghizmo I have for the inside of instant pot to boil eggs takes 14!
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Tuna pouch + Wilde chicken chips
- ****tail cucumbers w/tajin, cherries
- Protein icecream -choc chip cookie dough
- E: strength training
Happy taco Tue!

I wasn't a fan of the Costco egg bites. On the box it recommends air frying which would probably make them pretty tasty, but right out of the package, they look disappointing. My favorite was the Three Bridges egg white bites - so good!

Dang! They had the egg white three bridge but I chose the kirkland with ham just to have more protein. We shall see, I warm them up in the air fryer.

They are about 100 times better in the air fryer!
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
So glad your meal delivery is working out. I may need to check it out. We have never done one before. Mom got a bunch of meals delivered from her health insurance. She was supposed to get them when she was released from the nursing home to help her out for 2 weeks to get her back in the swing of things, but the insurance company called late last month and said she never got them, and she is intitled to them. Now these are premade and in shrink wrap. They just need to be put in the microwave. I just threw them in the freezer knowing she would not eat most of them because she is picky. I may pull out the Mexican ones and there are some breakfasts one with omelets and try one tonight for dinner.
I have a manicure at lunch and mom duty but other than that looks like a calm day. It has finally been raining here and I am hoping my grass come back to green sometime before the end of summer. Fingers crossed.
QOTD: I do not use a flat sheet on my bed. I use a fitted and a comforter because I hate tucking it in and it is a pain to make the bed when it comes out from under the mattress.

my store still has the L&F creme brûlée, too. I'm wondering if they decided to make it one of their permanent flavors, because usually the lemon one is out long before now (their summer seasonal flavor - which I haven't seen yet). I back up the truck every time I'm at the store to buy all the creme brûlée ones because I'm always afraid they're going to go away until next winter - but nope, still there every time I go. Fingers crossed it's been promoted to one of the permanent flavors!
No top sheet for us, either -- except for this time of year, when there's no blanket or comforter. JB would use the top sheet year round, but I find it to be a huge PITA under a blanket or comforter.

Jim is right. The person you marry determines what your life will be and so many people learn that the hard way. My hack has always been fifteen minutes every morning making my todo list and prioritizing each task.
That dumping would be miserable and maybe the medicine is doing it. Dumping for me is about fifteen miserable minutes and caused by a lot of sugar on an empty stomach. Very low blood sugar has similar symptoms and it may be what is happening due to it being a diabetic medicine.
Being tired and dehydrated did not help either. I do drink water when dumping happens. I remember a RNY coworker who ate birthday cake that caused her to have diarrhea so bad her husband had to bring her clean clothes and drive her home.
It was years before my surgery but the memory of that day always kept me from eating sugar in public places.
