What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good morning and happy Thursday! Don't worry QJB, if you want something done, give it to a busy woman holds true for you! You can probably nail your presentation in your sleep!
UGH, I did not drink any water yesterday and woke up at 2:12 dying from dehydration and feeling like crap. And then I was up. So I drank all the water, most of the coffee. I am still not feeling great but I had decided that my back is on the mend enough I wanted to get back on the rower - it's been a month!! It took a lot longer than usual but I did get my 5K in and so far so good. Even though I walked and stretched pretty much every day, I will be happy to get back to my real workouts! And I've got fitbits recommended active minutes done for today! Then I had more coffee and folded the laundry I didn't do last night. Productive morning but now I have to jump in the shower and head to the office.
qotd - rule maker and I follow my own rules for the most part, sometimes compulsively whether it makes sense or not, lol. I question everyone else's rules though!
Speaking of rules, have you heard about all the companies that are moving to badge/in badge out? Apparently, they have noticed too much "coffee badging", people coming to the office, grabbing a coffee/biobreak and then leaving. My company is not on that train (yet).
accountabilty - apparently I was on the cheese only diet yesterday, I did get 46 active minutes though!
Menu today - besides coffee and water and maybe some tea to mix it up, I'm not sure
have a good one everyone!

It's about time. I guess the rule follower in me says if you are working for a company you gotta follow their guidelines. If they say 2-3 days on site means 2-3 days on site, none of that badge swiping. Because the ones who do it ruin it for the ones who are actually WFH, and then all need to be back in the office.

I agree with you! I've had remote/hybrid/flex schedule teams since the early 2000s and it was never a problem but the people that abuse it these days seem rampant. I don't even have a team in my office here these days but if I'm not traveling, I am in to cover my 40% and leading by example. There are quite a few "leaders" that are not.

I used to have to punch a clock. Literally, cardboard time card, punch in, punch out. They even had special clocks -- 100 minutes to the hour, instead of 60. Made easier math for the bean counters.

I did that too in my early jobs! We still have them for some roles but all digital now. We did have to eliminate the phone app option though - people clocking in when they were not actually in!

G'morning all!
Boy am I happy to be home. I was supposed to be home on Tuesday, but the weather didn't cooperate in Philly and my flight got cancelled. They even told us Wed would be iffy. There were storms and tornado warnings all over. But thank goodness I finally made it home, with three stops, but beggars can't be choosers.
DD and I were able to move her out of DC and store everything in Philly. Driving a U-haul is not bad, as long as there is a person to guide you when you need to parallel park. I'm a good parallel parker (it's part of our driving test in Italy) but I couldn't see the corners of the truck. And may I say Philly people are the kindest people I have ever met? Everytime I had to park somebody off the street would start telling me what to do and how to get into the tightest places. At one point I had literally 1 inch in the front and 1 inch in the back and I was able to do it because this random guy helped me. In DC we were also very lucky that DD had put a whole group together so it was very much like clock work to fill up the truck. I was very proud of myself that I was able to keep up with all these 25 year olds and do the stairs (her apartment was on the third floor - no elevator) and go up and down all day long.
QOTD - I'm a little bit of all, mostly a rule follower, but give me a good excuse and I break them with glee.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee + barebells bar
- Chomp sticks, edamame pouch, quest puff, wilde protein chips
- Barebells bar
- E: travel day
Happy jr Fri-yay!
