Now I want to go back and watch the Scrooge McDuck version and see if he also asked for a Goose--because that would just be super weird!

I looked. Scrooge McDuck did not send the boy off for a Christmas Goose. But he did eat some turkey.

How is it wrong for a duck to eat goose, but OK for a duck to eat turkey?

Yes, goose is something people eat. Probably not as common as it used to be but I know plenty of people that hunt geese to eat, I think back in the olden days, it was THE bird for Christmas. Didn't they have roast goose in The Christmas Carol?

from what I understand, it's a common to eat goose on Christmas in England (or so said a British friend of mine- although that was many years ago)

I have tickets in a couple weeks to a concert with Geese. Geese the band, not to be confused with the band Goose, is playing a Lollapalooza sold out aftershow. It's at a tiny, intimate venue that I used to live above.

Good morning!!! Happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week, yay us!

After work,I have my trainer, I want to go ahead and pack for my business trip on Monday since tomorrow is an in office day and I will have a friend here Friday to Monday. That does mean I need to fold all my laundry but should only take a few minutes other than that.

QOTD - Pizza. I know a lot of people complain about eating the same food every day...needing more variety of tastes....but pre WLS I could have eaten pizza every day!

I did not get Fitbit's target amount of sleep and today it's not giving me a sleep recommendation, I think it's given up, lol. 76 active minutes and 10,187 steps. I was only at around 6K when I got home from the massage last night so I did a lot of random walking through the house.

I don't really have a plan for food today which is not ideal. Coffee plus half and half/x3, probably some cumin gouda and salami but not sure outside of that. I'll figure it out.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

Mornin' all. Why do weeds grow so fast? Faster than anything else. Can't we genetically alter weeds so they won't grow? And also make a grass that grows to the perfect length without needing to be cut, please.

Eating was on target yesterday. All the crap food is gone. Today will be a good eating day. I swear.

QOTD: I can't medal in any eating competition these days. It's almost pathetic how little I can eat. But, really, what I eat maintains a pretty large person, so it must be the right amount of food. It just seems small compared to what the old me ate.

Parslane in the expansion joints of my driveway is my nemesis. I did figure out that it is much easier to pull after a rain.

A few years ago I bought a device that you attach to a propane torch and burn the weeds between the driveway joints. It was a brick driveway and a lot of work to keep up on the weeds. I never did use it because I was afraid I would end up starting a fire.
