It's little Friday! I am so happy we're almost there. Yesterday was kind of annoying. It was one of those days when everything that came across my desk was a confounding puzzle. I am still in that "new guy" phase of work where there are so many situations that require prior knowledge that I don't have yet and it's frustrating! Not the end of the world, but just frustrating to have to figure out who to ask for literally everything.

Today should go by quickly, though! I've got lots of meetings to take up my day and lunch with my niece who I haven't seen in 3 weeks :)

In other news, I am DYING for a verdict in the Karen Read trial. They've been deliberating for a few days now and I am on the edge of my seat. I am prepared for all work to stop for hours and everyone to go back to their computers to watch live when they announce that the jury is in. It's such a topic of conversation at work that if she gets found Not Guilty, it could be a National Holiday, haha.

QOTD: Are you still tracking your daily food in My Fitness Pal or another app? I'm really spotty about it. I go all in with it for weeks at a time, then stop, then go on another streak. I would like to go back to posting MFP screenshots to keep me honest, but uploading pics to OH is so frustrating that I don't think it's going to happen.

Accountability: I supported a very contentious situation a few weeks ago and yesterday I received a giant bag of Lindt Chocolate Balls to say thank you. There must have been 60 in there. I had 2 but I put all the rest in the kitchen. On the plus side (maybe?) that was all I had for "dinner".

Good mornin y'all. QJB, days like that are indeed annoying! You'll get there and be rid of the new guy thing soon,

My appointment yesterday was meh. I swear that guy reads from a script and doesn't allow for interruptions...even though he is really supposed to be listening to me. Ha! Other wise yesterday wasn't horrible. I've decided to stop making excuses and count every calorie going in my body. Yesterday I ended up with just a tad over 1600 calories, less than 115 carbs(I need to work on this I know). My protein was good though. It recommended over 2,000 calorie s a day for me but they also say I should do it slower, the weight loss. I will not eat that much if I can help it. Yesterday my mom got some fast food and all I got was a diet pop and had two of her French fries.

Not sure what we'll do today. It got to 102° yesterday. Not a fan of that...not at all. It's only supposed to be 96° today but with more humidity.

QOTD: I am trying to use one. I like the interface so far. It's called YAZIO and so far so good.

B: eggs, 2 tbs shredded cheese, 1 tbs Italian herb mayo, 2 tbs SF creamer and coffee. I may have a sausage patty or half of one.

L: chicken and some yogurt

D: will actually have the mini shrimp spring rolls, no sauce

S: PP pancakes, maybe an oz of sharp cheddar

I tried it a few times but I never really liked MFP, the paid or free version both. I used Baritastic for years but stopped. I should go back to tracking for sure.

Good morning - I am in the dark about who Karen Read is, must look her up - very limited TV or news these days. But, I did find a new show called Botched Bariatrics (TLC), a lot of lap band issues from reading the captions of the episodes. It's available on some streaming too, I think MAX is one. When I have a minute, I will check it out since love this stuff. Yesterday was even crazier after seeing a 3 hour zoom training on my calendar, but I was able to mutli-task and get my project to the point where I will fini**** this morning. Kelly, the monkey was sent back and was returned trained! Whew!

QOTD - Yes, 100%. I have improved my accuracy over the last couple of months. I used to leave what I planned to eat and never update that with what I actually ate. Now I'm always updating and being fully honest. Sometimes it's hard to see the truth after a bad day, but I'd rather know and learn from it and not sweep it under the rug.

Accountability - Yesterday - great! 72 active minutes - treadmill/walk, 12,066 steps total. today - 173.6, 30 minutes done on the treadmill, lunch walk TBD, swimming after work.

B- coffee, protein bar, protein shake

l - chopped salad with chicken

d- leftover spaghetti and garlic bread

s - apple, jerky

Have a great day!

I just fell down the Karen Reid Rabbit hole yesterday. She is so guilty. If they do not convict her someone will kill her.

Again, congratulations on all your success.

I am about 50/50 as to whether she did it or not but the evidence pointing to a SERIOUS cover up by the police is very very very real. I'll be furious if she doesn't get off on reasonable doubt. The cops did some dirty **** It might be to cover up a different crime but she shouldn't be convicted on the evidence they have against her.

There has to be more to it, but what little I read makes her sound like a horrible girlfriend and guilty of killing him, possibly accidentally because she was drunk. Proving that in court is a whole other thing. Reasonable doubt could get her off with all the shady shadows cast.

I don't think she's horrible. I mean, I wouldn't date her, lol, but they seemed like a pretty typical dysfunctional couple who fight and drink too much but there was nothing to indicate she intended to hurt him. She might have just been drunk and hit him by accident but the police are making her out to be a criminal mastermind and she just isn't.
