What's on your Thursday Menu?

Thanks! I am taking this step by step and see where it goes when it comes to visiting her.
Even the move from Philly to Chicago, I'm not sure we as parents will be involved. This girl of mine can organize group events like it's nobody's business and seems like there is a whole group helping her move to Chicago. I was surprised I was able to snag a spot for the initial move out of DC.

Such great news. No wonder you are always so proud. Wish she would have picked a Pittsburgh school so we can hang but maybe I'll meet you in Chicago with Jim.

Hahah! The Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburg is more of a tech/research school, not her vibe. Although I would have loved her there just for the wedding cookie table. See? I'd sell my daughter's education for a plate of cookies. Bad mom, very bad mom.
But seriously, the colleges in the running were Chicago, San Francisco and Dublin (Ireland). Once she got the acceptance from Chicago (her top choice) she didn't hesitate.

Congratulations to DD! My brother got his MBA there and he and my SIL are still in the area if she needs any help/tips/connections. Depending where she ends up too, I?ve stayed in some good airbnbs I can point you and DH to for visits:-)

Thanks! We will def need to connect. For now we let her do her stuff and slowly insinuate that we wanna go and visit.

Good morning all and Happy Thursday,

The apartment hunt goes on. I put in another application last night. I like my chances but he insists to show it to the next 2 people, which will be the only others to view the apt. I haven't heard back from Tuesday's appt if I'm approved and am the cream of the crop. I had to stand out from the crowd of applicants. I wrote a correlating letter in the same vein as prospective buyers do with the Sellers. I also offered 2 months upfront. We'll see.

QJB- How was it sitting outside at the game in that weather? Wednesday, I had the opportunity to go to Wrigley and, gasp, choose not to bc of the heat and humidity.

QOTD- Lincoln Park Zoo in February. I took advantage of a heat wave (50°) and visited in the middle of a weekday.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, 2 tangerines.

L: pastrami & 1/2 slice rye.

D: leftover tocino Sisog, and onions, mushrooms, green beans.

One more day and we'll never have to return to work again... It is a voluntary choice to work.
