My insurance excludes it too! I do mine through a local dc weight loss clinic where I pay $39 a month to "belong" and every 6-8 weeks I have a $50 Teledoc. The vials of compounded semaglutide are shipped to me from a local compounding pharmacy and it averages to about $200 a month for the drug. Best thing I've done for myself since RNY. My good friend does it through Mocchi which is I think $297 a month total for the Teledoc and the medicine. It makes a world of difference. I've lost 20% of my weight in 7 months. Of course I wish insurance covered it since I may need to be on it for the rest of my life but hey, this is the healthiest and best and most energetic I've felt in years, so I figure I'm worth it

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

We made it! Congrats to all, whose hard work made this weekend possible. You all are rockstars. You deserve it.

Lots of things to do this weekend. I will pick A few from the following: Second Fridays at the Fine Arts Building- A building is opened to the public that is usually closed. Working gate elevator with elevator hop, ornate architecture and tons of artists studios filling every floor. Ribfest. Taste of Randolph Festival. Logan Square Farmers Market(known for a singles meetup.) Picnic at Labagh Woods. Juneteenth Celebration on the South Side with Common. Rave Bingo. Mercadito. Father's Day lunch with a good friend.

QOTD- I got nothing. I'm currently reading The Naked Mind and another book addressing childhood family dysfunction; Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families. I had never considered it since Alcoholism doesn't run in my family. However, upon a suggestion, I looked into it and it is very applicable from the dysfunctional family aspect. It seems to be uncovering root issues and how they've affected me as an adult.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt Tangerine.

L: BBQ something. Most likely pulled pork and smoked chili.

D: Lamb Chops if I decide to turn on the oven or stove. It's hot here and the oven heats up the apartment.

Pics #1-She is ready to rock and rock all night. #2 At a stoplight, I looked up at an apartment building on the corner. I saw this amazing picture. I hope it's the tenant with a puppet version of himself.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Happy Friday!

Quick check in for me. We celebrated Kati's birthday and had a real nice family evening. I had very little appetite once the food got served and ended up with two small bites out of my two tacos. I just ate 1/2 of each one for breakfast and still have one more meal left out of them. Yesterday I logged 55 minutes of exercise and 10,790 steps. Today I finished a Yoga class, spin class and 30 minutes on the treadmill. The Grands decided to sleep over last night, so I'll be spending my day entertaining them.

QoTD: Not Hit Man. I just really was unimpressed.

Bites today

B: gourmet tacos. 4 bites total. 2 of crispy shrimp. 2 of Quesabirria

L: leftover flank steak and roasted carrots

D: Going to the neighbors. I'm just going to do the best I can

Have a great weekend and Happy Father's day guys!

Peace
