Mornin' All!

I did well yesterday with food until I attacked a chocolate bar last night (not a human-sized one, but one of the big ones) and ate three rows of it - so I ended up WAY over calories. I have to do better today. A friend wants to bike over to one of the coffee places this morning to try one of their sfogliatelle since I posted about them on Facebook a few weeks ago. She's never had one before. Hopefully I can resist - but at least we'll be doing some biking if I cave. Although that's a lot of biking (or scrimping the rest of the day), since those things are around 500 kcal each!! Otherwise, I need to continue reading my book for the book discussion group on Monday. That's about it for today...

QOTD: just liver. I did have escargot once after a friend convinced me that you can't even taste the snail - all you taste is the butter and garlic. The snail is kind of like a little mushroom in there - you just get the texture. She was right - it was actually pretty good - but given the thought of it, I'm not sure I'd do it again. It's the thought - not the taste. But liver, just no.

coffee with half & half

plain skyr with blueberry/rhubarb sauce (made with fake sugar)

iced latte for sure. Hopefully no pastry

not sure about lunch

Greek yogurt

salad with diced chicken, diced peach, and low-cal sesame ginger dressing

have a great day, everyone!

Morning gang. I've got an early start in the shop already, and I have a 10:30 call with the last solar company I'm considering. It's gorgeous here today.

G'morning all!

That meme is totally me. When I hear people say I stress or rage cleaned I always think a pint of icecream would be much better.

I am so annoyed with my Garmin watch. For some reason yesterday it captured my wog and mileage but not the steps. It says I ran 5 miles but it also says I walked 0 steps. I spent two hours online to figure out if I can fix it but no solution. My average steps were about 15,000 steps a day and I would be really mad if the 0 steps take my average down. I know, first world problems.

The next fall on our itinerary was Mooney falls. Another beautiful fall to visit but with a treacherous path.

First we get to the end of a trail and I don't see any path going down. So we look around, until somebody comes and we ask where the path is. Very matter fact he says through the cave. I thought he was joking but nope. Into the cave we go.

Once we get out of the cave we still have to climb down the mountain by holding onto the chains drilled to the side of the mountain. I was able to take pics from the very top and at the bottom where you see the ladder. But in between these two points there was a whole mountain with fissures to stick your feet in. Somebody at the top said three points of contacts at all time, and that became my mantra going down.

Once down we enjoyed the beautiful waterfall and as you can see people were swimming in the nature made terraces.

Going up was actually harder because you had to pull up with your arms and find the fissures instead of getting help from gravity while going down. I was very grateful for my healed and improved shoulder.

QOTD - 5

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Left over chicken buffalo with legendary chips
  • Jello, fluffy yogurt
  • Left over taco innards
  • E: 5 miles wog

Happy almost Fri-yay.

Thanks, an no!
Just the idea of that cave, or sleeping in a tent would make me totally claustrophobic.

That picture of you in the cave is incredible! You should blow it up and keep it where you can see it whenever you doubt yourself and your athleticism!
