My mother would yell at me if she caught me eating without putting salt on my food. There is no iodine in the water and soil in Ohio and she wanted us to use lots of salt because it had iodine added to it. Years ago, people here used to develop goiters from lack of iodine. Goiter is a growth on the neck and sometimes becomes very large. Not a problem in areas like New England where there is iodine in the soil. Because iodine is added to salt now, goiters are much less common.

I used to heavily salt EVERYTHING. I cut way back even before surgery when I was prediabetic. I still salt but not nearly as much. I actually find somethings, gasp, too salty.

Good morning ~ Ooooh, I'd love a piano concert 2 day set - enjoy! I didn't wake with a headache which was great but one set in right after I was up and around then disappeared after my treadmill workout and plenty water. A friend at work had a collection of electrolyte packs and gave me a bunch to try. I've tried 3 and so far. I'm not a fan of the taste, but I'll keep trying. I'm not sure it has the same levels/effect but I bought some plain electrolyte water and I'm drinking that now. Yesterday was a work blur of me being trained by my boss. Today will be training staff that includes a field trip to the bank - fun!
QOTD - 4B6E if I can only choose one from each line. 4AB567E If I get the whole menu!
Accountability - Yesterday - great food wise, no planned activity but 16 active minutes and 6,792 steps. Today - I was 178.4 (not going to panic) and 35 minutes on the treadmill are done. Keep on moving, every step counts.
B- coffee, protein shake, protein pastry
l - deli turkey low carb wrap
D- Birria tacos
s- nectarine, sherbet
Have a great day!!

Yma, try LMNT. I love the salty watermelon, and the salty citrus ones. You could order a mixed one from Amazon and see which one you like best.

I have the LMNT citrus one to try today. Is it actually salty? It's the salty part that I'm not crazy about w/any gatorade type drinks.

It depends on how much water you put it in. I usually put one packet in my 40 oz water cup. To me that's the right ratio. Less water makes it more salty. More water makes it less salty. You gotta play with what you like. For me they are a life saver on my running days so I don't get cramps, and obv on the hiking days.

I think they are a little salty but not overly so, also not overly after-tasty. I don?t like liquid Iv because I find it bad too much of an aftertaste.
im also a very much diluter - 30 oz or more to a packet!

Strangely I haven't tried the grapefruit one yet, and grapefruit is one of my favorite water flavors. Off to order them.
Def no to the chocolate one.
