Hellllloooooooo Thursday! I am thrilled that it's here. WFH today & tomorrow, which is amazing. Yesterday was a lot of peopling. I had hoped adrenaline would get me through it but I admit to a moment of weakness and I ordered a Venti caffeinated iced coffee. It was heaven and thankfully no signs of worsening GERD yet :)

I desperately need to clean out the fridge today and figure out what is in there. Why can't I do productive **** like that in the middle of the night when I am awake, lol?

QOTD: If you wake up in the middle of the night, do you look at your phone? Yep. 100% of the time. I don't have the self-control to stop myself and I could never sleep if the phone was in a different room. I typically wake up and play my NY Times games, read AppleNews+, and eventually make it over to TikTok. In today's 2 hour long TikTok sesh, I learned that HS & College grads have figured out that if they send their graduation announcements to certain companies, they will get tons and tons of free stuff. I had never heard of this trend, but those kids cashed in. Jim, take note!

Accountability: 6900 steps. Food was perfect.

Good mornin y'all.

I've got two appointments today. I'd much rather stay home and hide which means I really need these appointments. I'm just feeling rather overwhelmed. S the swelling has gone down in my mouth it seems that the dentist missed either a bone fragment or there is a sharp place on my jaw bone...in the same spots where she did the last procedure. I am so over this ****

We have a chance of severe weather today. We've been lucky so far and I hope that it sticks.

QOTD: I charge my iPad in my room at night but I only check it for things like the radar if we're having severe weather. I don't scroll through things until I get up into the living room. It's usually just FB and insta.

Good morning and happy Thursday!

busy day today - the now usual 6 am to 300 meetings with no break, plus my trainer had to reschedule from yesterday to today. Works out ok because we were supposed to see Stevie Nicks tonight but it was moved to Saturday. Had to scramble a bit to extend our hotel and it's going to make being at the airport at 11 am Sunday a *****allenging but who doesn't love a Saturday concert. Our Friday fun day plans didn't have to change at all though!

Qotd - nope, not at all. I would just get up instead.

hit my active minutes goal yesterday but only 5900 steps. Need to move more outside of my focused exercise but it just hasn't been a priority this week.

Morning all. It's rainy here, which means I don't need to lug water around for all the new plants. I've got people coming to look at a tree we want taken down, and to do some chimney repair. I've got a few projects I'd like to get done this year.

QOTD: I don't keep my phone in the bedroom. I try to go right back to sleep, but if I can't, I just get up. It's frustrating trying to sleep, and I just choose not to fight it.

Good morning, everybody!

I'm typing this from the parking lot of our dentist. I have an 8:00 appointment and then I have to head into the city. I have a zillion things to do at work.

I did my first swim yesterday. It was mostly about figuring out my ID, the lockers, etc. But I have a some work to do before I am confident to swim half a mile in open water. So, if the bicycle was easier than expected, I think the swim will be harder. Just under 3 months left to train.

Marilyn heads to Colorado from Alabama this afternoon.

QOTD: no, I keep it downstairs.

A half mile or 800 meters in a pool is easy compared to open water. Our local Triathlon was in the news this morning about how many people had to be rescued off course due to the tow, some even dropped out after the ordeal. You're strong, just be careful - you got this!

Good morning ~ This week is flying and that makes me so happy. WFH has it's advantages - mainly being in loungewear and no commute but I had training boredom and endless riffleing of the snack cabinet. I was good, but they were a callin' to to me all day. I have a ton of work to catch up in the office so I'm thankful for a clear calendar today.

QOTD - Only to check the time, otherwise any chance of sleep is over!

Accountability - perfect on food down to the gram and calorie. 10,372 steps, 60 exercise minutes yesterday and 179.8 this am. 30 minutes on the treadmill done. The ifit/iwatch time mystery is solved - it was due to the 3 minute warm-up on the manual setting that resets the clock when the workout starts back to 0:00. I just get right into my workout, so I'll skip the warmup now. I was so mad about that for days!! Getting 10k steps is not easy for me. It takes so much effort and I am trying to finding new ways to add them. If you have any good step tips - please share!
