What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Last week we were in the 80s with sunshine and I was at the pool a lot. This week is 61 today and heavy rain. Memorial day was cold and rainy. It should be 72 with sunshine by Thursday. Since our pool is heated and really warm I hope to swim again on Friday. I do longer want anything to do with swimming in cold water, like when I was a lot younger. I really prefer 80 for pool days.
I am getting a new refrigerator next week so am in the process of getting things out of the freezer and eating them to make it easier to organize the new one. I will be heating up bags of vegetables that have been there awhile. With the cold, wet weather and also those veggies, it is probably a good idea to make vegetable soup.
QJB, the adereline should carry you through. Protein bars were got me through a lot of those days when there was no time to eat meals and I had to stay at my desk.
Mel, sorry the appointment did not work out. Hope things get a lot better.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning! Quick post for me today as we have to get out of here to get Roger to golf in 2 hours and 19 minutes and you do not mess around with Roger's tee time!! I'll be at the hotel for the next couple days, so I am going to need to look for exercise options. I don't think they have a gym, but I'll check that out while waiting to access our room, since we can't get in until 2 or 3 and golf starts at 10. I'm sure they will let me use the pool though and I have that stuff on the very top of my little suitcase for easy access.
Yesterday's accountability was spot on. I had an extra 'nack. All protein and very much needed after my workout yesterday. I logged 147 minutes of exercise and 10,235 steps. Somehow my "forever fit" class, which is supposed to be about strength and balance turned into a 1980's jazzercise class. High energy and a real workout. I was a sweaty mess going into yoga. We did all 55 minutes essentially on the floor and I learned new poses. Note to self, the bad left knee is not a fan of shoelace pose.
QoTD: cool mornings, mid to high 70's afternoons. Mmmmm, San Diego.
Food today is totally unknown. I've got a few safety snacks in my bag to keep me from going off the rails.
Peace Everybody!

Morning everyone. The long weekend somehow got me off track. I don't know how. Time to get back on a chedule. JB took the early early train today, and I've already got my rowing in, took her to the train, bought (and planted) 7 new plants, and went to the grocery store. Now I'm off to get one of the cars inspected.
I opened a new ham yesterday. The cat is very happy.

G'morning all!
JB - hope you can get some respite from your busy schedule.
Today is DD's 26th birthday. I'm still amazed that my kids (yes I still see them as kids) are in their 20s. I vividly remember DD being born at 9:32 am and my mom naming her principessina peperoncino (little chili princess) because she would turn beet red before starting to cry. I never thought we would survive those first months of no sleep and now she is an adult living her life away from us. And starting today she is all on her own with insurance, yikes.
Last Friday I got a call from the radiologist who checked my foot x-ray in addition to urgent care providers. According to him there *might* be an anomaly and wants me to do a CTscan. So now I have a CTscan scheduled for Thursday. Wishing and hoping that it's only a bone bruise and not a stress fracture.
QOTD: I've been complaining about my weather non stop, so y'all know. Our average is low 60s and when we are lucky the fog burns around 3:00 pm. Otherwise we might go days without seeing the sun. Or have to drive to Silicon Valley to get the summer heat. Sometimes there is a difference of 25 degrees between the coast and the valley.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Scrambled eggs w/cheese
- Cold cuts with cheese
- Edemame pouch, jello, spicy peanuts
- Made my own tzatziki with fage yogurt, legendary chips
- E: strength training
Happy hump day!
