What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
G'morning all!
Aah, those cookies are adorbs, very spring! Does anybody even have springs anymore? I feel like we are going from one season to another but not so much the in between weathers (spring and fall).
Have you seen those memes when the wife gets the measuring tape and drill out, and the husband jumps up because he knows his to do list just got longer? I realized we don't have much going on for the long weekend so proposed to DH let's shop for a shed. We have so much stuff (mostly extra furniture for the deck) that we have stored in various closets and his surf boards that have taken half of the space in the craft room. I finally got sick of it and my ultimatum was either use them (the furniture) or get them out of the house, hence the compromise of a shed. He keeps hinting we can use one of the kids' room to store some stuff but I refuse to use their room for that. I didn't even convert their room to a gym when that would be my top priority. I would never want the kids to feel they don't have a room at home. Anyway, this weekend we are shed shopping. Getting old at its peak.
QOTD: every 4 weeks on the dot. Not a hair cut every time but color for sure.

The last several years we either seem to skip spring, or else spring seems to last forever.
This year it seems like we had 4 days in between having heat on and the AC.

Marilyn and my youngest headed off to the airport this morning. Marilyn wanted to go straight to tennis afterwards, so I didn't accompany. Today I need to do some work, do a light gym trip and we have a neighborhood firepit tonight. Murph tomorrow morning, so need to make it an early night.
Last night we ended up having sushi on the back porch for his last night home.

QOTD- Color touch up every 4 weeks, and cut about every third visit.
Well I knew that my eye wasn't allergies, it was a tear in the cornea. So I have the correct prescription to be treating it, to be picked up later. An eye drop, and some gel to put in my eye at night so it doesn't dry out. One wasn't in they had to order it so I'll call and make sure it's there and go pick them up today.
I knew it was going to happen but I've lost access to the old drawing program. So I'll be struggling through with the new one. The only good thing is that it's Friday, and I get my hair done this afternoon.
The plants are still not in the ground, I will make it happen this weekend. I was waiting for my roommate to rototill but if it doesn't happen I will just stick them in the ground.

Up until about a year ago I made it a point to always be fully dressed with my hair styled and makeup applied. But I went through some health issues that left me too tired to care about makeup and somedays were spend in my pajamas. I do schedule my hair appointments for cut and color every six weeks. I make the appointment when I am at the shop, otherwise I wait too long.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Morning! Or good afternoon to many of you!!
Yoga class, spin class, and 35 minutes on the treadmill. Check, check, check. My day is started off on the right foot. Yesterday I stayed spot on with my food and beverages and ended my day with 115 minutes of exercise and 10,187 steps. Rog is starting to get used to me popping up at every commercial break around 8 pm and running in place and around the house. #goals.
Today is totally chill for the rest of the day. Rog did invite the neighbors for dinner, so I'll pop out for just a couple things, but other than that I have no plans. Reading Small Great Things. It's kind of killing me inside, but it's an important story and I will fini**** I know it's fiction, but it hits so close to the bone. The things "humans" can do.
QoTD: When I was employed, cut and color every fourth Monday. Now, I've stretched it 8 Mondays. I actually wish I would go totally gray. I would so own that.
Bites today
B: leftover Al Pastor on 2 zero carb tortillas. I wolfed that down after all those workouts
L: leftover chicken
D: small piece of steak, a few fingerlings, 1/2 a corn on the cob. Wine. Not gonna lie.

Have you considered having it colored to grey? I've told my stylist that when it gets to that point, I'm going to color it all grey and add the purple on top of that.
