Good morning ~ Thankfully this week is flying by headed into the 3 day weekend. Yesterday was a really nice day! Everything went smoothly and really enjoyed my walk downtown. I'm working from home this morning then heading south this afternoon for a regional meeting/networking dinner tonight. It should be fun, it's a great group of people.
QOTD -Beach walk w/little girl then golf on Saturday, My favorite hike on Sunday - it's been almost 3 years since I've braved this one due to the weight gain, so it's on now! BBQ with the whole family on Monday
Accountability - great w/9,251 steps and 177.2 on the scale. My foot and hip are feeling better but my neck/shoulder is peaking and so painful right now. Lots of heat/ice, tylenol, massage gun and it still woke me up all night long. No workout this morning, but I will be walking a bunch later today.
B- coffee w/half and half x 4, legendary pastry and yogurt
l - real good burrito w/salsa
d- TBD
s- beef jerky, small apple
Have a great day!

I go all over around here. There are hikes near me, nothing challenging or special except for Oso Flaco Lake Trail. I took Lisa on that one when she visited last year. It's super easy and pretty, ending at the beach. I especially love the trails in San luis Obispo, there are tons of great ones. My favorite for this Sunday is the Johnson Ranch Trail. 3.4 miles of every kind of scenery you can find - golden hills, pastures, woods, a brook, hills, stairs - so lovely! There are longer and more challenging ones w/mountains I have yet to try on the list. Pismo and Avila have great trails too. The docent lead hike to the Avila Light House was beautiful and pretty special - highly recommend!

Good morning, everybody!
Two more days! I'm actually pretty busy at work today. Mostly because I wasted the last two days driving all over creation because I screwed up my office reservations for the week. I'm taking a needed rest day from the gym today as well. I've been on 7 days straight and I'm starting to feel that.
There is a liquor in Chicago called Malort. I've never had it, but my impression is that it is not very good. Well, one of the local brewpubs has started to sell a Cicada infused Malort. It looks indescribably gross, but I'm sure that some people will buy it for the novelty. I will try and find a picture and post it.
QOTD: Tomorrow we drive my youngest to the airport. Murph on Saturday morning. We have a graduation party on Saturday night. Sunday is planting annuals. Our town pool opens and I need to start swimming some laps. Brrr. Monday there is another Murph, but I don't know if I will/can/want to do two in one weekend.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Roast Beef
Dinner: We will probably go out with my youngest
Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all.
my mom is in rare form this morning...that means stress for me. She had to start a new medication for her heart and it seems to not be working very well as she gets irate at the drop of a hat. I feel I am going to have to talk to my brother about this. Not that he'll do anything as he is about the second laziest person I know. Second to only his wife. I am alone in this and I am beyond saturated with stress and anxiety. Ugh.
I do want to take a moment and brag on my nieces! Rachel got an a/b honor roll award(they do far fewer awards in middle). Riley cleaned up! She got the highest average grade in EVERY subject. 2nd place in a state wide UIL contest. Perfect attendance. A few others as well. These kids are so smart it's scary to me! I did so poorly in school, due to lots of things but I was made fun of a lot and if it didn't interest me I kind of ignored it. I believe my brother and me both have somewhat of a learning disability. I am just so happy these kids are as intelligent and witty as they are. Pics at the end. Rachel is the one with the yellow choker necklace and Riley is in the striped dress.
I am calling Monday about the dentist. I have roughly two thirds of the payment for the procedure so I want to get it scheduled for maybe the same day I get my SSI. It's just such a pain in the ass!
QOTD: nothing much that I know of. Maybe some BBQ sausage if I can eat it in small enough pieces.
Mel
Kudos for the schoolwork!
