Morning all. Getting ready to drive JB to the train, and then I need to spend a day in the shop. But we also don't have plants in the patio planters yet . . .

Food was abysmal yesterday. I didn't eat a single healthy thing, so I suppose you could say I was perfect. 100% on track -- just the wrong track. But all the vacation snacks have been destroyed, and things are back to normal today.

QOTD: I'd like to have the patio steps done this year. They're about 8 feet long, and only two steps. But they are old and brick, and need replacing. I'd like to do granite or bluestone. I like to do things myself, but I think I'm past trying to wrangle 8 foot granite slabs.

I want to replace all my white appliances with stainless steel. My refrigerator is across from the sink and there is no water hookup. There is no basement and an apartment on top of me so they cannot go through the ceiling. One plumber wanted to cut out parts of the wallboard and run the tubing through the wall, over the door, and then drill through the countertop to put in a line. I am still debating and looking for any other suggestions.

Your school sounds like a dream job and I am so happy that all worked out for you.

Good morning ~ That meme is absolute truth! I had a blur of a day yesterday - it was pretty frustrating honestly. No way to get everything done and more of the same today. By the end of the week, most will resolve. Sometimes I dream of a job where I have very little responsibility - how nice! But,the devil that you know...

QOTD - I'd love to dress up my bathroom. It is the saddest looking, plain, most boring bathroom ever. Nothing hanging in there but towels. It needs color and charm.

Accountability - Awesome! 180.2 today. Steps were 6.9k and it was a huge deal to get those. I saw that I only had about 3k at 6 pm, so I starting walking all over the house and in place until I could do no more. I need to think of yoga as an additional exercise, not my main exercise because I want the steps. This morning, I completed a 30 minute full body workout with weights! I'm already sore. I'll go out of my way to get my steps in where I can today.

B- coffee w/half and half, yogurt, strawberries and protein granola

l = ham and cheese sandwich on protein bread

d - lean gr beef tacos with all the fixin's

s - fairlife protein shake

Have a great day!!

Mornin' All -

all I have is a vet appt in about an hour to see if our bed-wetting cat is OK. It was a one-time thing (middle of the night - I mentioned this yesterday), but it can still be indicative of a medical issue - like diabetes or thyroid issue - but we'll see. I'm hoping it might be something simple like a UTI. I finished one of my classes last night. Not sure if I'll finish the other one or not (the second one is an in-person class and I missed several classes for various reasons (I wasn't all that interested in the class anyway) - but I planned to at least finish the readings). Nothing else on the docket for today, although as usual, I need to get some exercise. Feeling very bloated again this morning. Not sure what's up with this.

QOTD: currently we have a chimney replacement and garage door replacement in the works (have made deposits on them - work will occur sometime in June). I'd also like to get an inner staircase refinished. We also need to replace a couple of windows, but I haven't gotten anything going on those yet.

coffee with half & half

cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with fruit sauce

protein shake

baby carrots with hummus

dinner TBA

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning! It sounds like you'll have a great day, enjoy all the fun. I tried to get caught up yesterday but didn't get through all of it so I'll try and finish up today.

QOTD: We want to get some sort of door between our living room and game/entertainment room. I wanted a barn door style but since that room was an addition the flooring has a slight slope(?) so the track wouldn't lay flat. So we need to explore other options.

A vinyl accordion door might work for you. It only has track on the top.

John has been researching some options for like what you're describing. It's also an odd size opening but there seems to be some ways to custom order those.

Good morning, everybody!

We blew it the other morning.

All of the yards here have wooden spat fences and they are topped with a 2 by 6 that runs along the top.

Saturday morning we are eating breakfast and one of the grandmothers looks out the window and says "aww, there's a kitty walking along the top of the fence." And then "that's a pretty big cat." And then "I think it's a Bobcat ."

Well, we all rushed to the window to check it out and it definitely was: spotted fur, rippling muscles, huge legs, short tail. Unfortunately, none of us remembered to bring our phones. So we all rushed to find our phones and get back to the window.

Of course, the Bobcat realized he was being watched and jumped down into a neighbor's yard before we could get pictures. So, unfortunately, I don't have any predatory cat pictures to share.

QOTD: Aside from basic maintenance, I don't have anything planned. We have a decent sized corner lot in a neighborhood full of tear downs, so I don't know if a future buyer will give any value to renovations or just want to rebuild.

Not sure about menu today.

Have a great day, all!

That is an incredible experience. We live in a world now where we don't feel validated unless we get a picture. I grew up when cameras had film and it had to get developed. I never remember to take pictures even though I always have my phone with me.

People are always asking if I took a picture and I never think to do that.

I hope Mr. Bobcat comes back and someone does get a picture.
