The same rule applies to how they dress, what makeup they use, who they date, where they live, and what they drive. It is their business and not something anyone has the right to comment on.

The list is long. Why do you have so many kids? Why don't you have any kids? Why aren't you married? Why do you have tattoos? What's that thing growing on your neck?

All, none of our business.

This just reminded me of something I'd forgotten about - how (some) people look into your cart when you're grocery shopping while obese. No one ever looks in my cart any more.

EDITED to add - or eating in public. I used to try to avoid eating in public (like walking around with an ice cream cone) since some people stare. They no longer do.

I was guilty of looking in people's carts and judging them on their choices. I was at the store once and a cousin was complaining about how expensive groceries were. She had beer, wine, and cigarettes in her cart. I would also get upset when I saw people on food stamps buying a lot of high sugar cereals and snacks or anyone with little kids doing that. Now I understand that is probably all their kids would eat.

"waking up with a with horrible congestion and a headache." When we stay in hotels DH always checks the air vents. Lots of times they do not clean them and are just blowing bacteria. If you can't reach it try to spray with Lysol. I bet that is the culprit.

I carry Lysol when I travel and spray the vents. It does make a big difference. I have also asked for an air purifier to be bought to the room. That was back when people smoked and the rooms would smell of cigarette smoke.

There's a very good article on obesity and weight loss drugs in today's paper, if anyone is interested.

Excellent article. Read it yesterday. Read the comments. It fits perfectly with the conversation of why is my plate your business?

Great article. We, Bariatric patients, went through this too when people told us we took the easy way out. Mind your own beeswax and let me deal with my problems how I see fit.
