Good morning ~ Your cookies and Fez are adorable! Yesterday was a stressful day. You know when you are trying to get through things and there is always something or someone in your way? I woke up with work dreams over and over last night yet this morning, total peace and acceptance. Go figure. I have some odds and ends to wrap up today then errands after work. Tomorrow is Kentucky Derby day and Sunday is Cinco De mayo. Sounds like a weekend of fun, food and family. Although this has all the makings of a lushy weekend for me, I have no plans or desire to drink. Gotta keep on moving. i had the sick, sedentary sister conversation 3 times this week with co-workers. It's really hit me hard. TikTok must have picked up on it because suddenly my 'for you' content is a lot aging health and exercise - I mean, how intuitive is TikTik? I haven't queried the topic at all.
QOTD - Probably a 4? I enjoy it, once, then I'm done. I've seen all the movies and spin offs. I don't want to rewatch them TBH, but I do like them. Woke up late today, but plan to hike with little girl this afternoon.
Accountability - Some b-day cake for co-worker birthday. It had lemon filling and looked good, but it was way too sweet - not worth it. 178.8 again.
B- yogurt and granola
l - TBD
D- chicken and broccoli alfredo
s - sm apple

That story about your sister really made a big impact on me. No matter how sick, tired, or run down I feel, I am always fighting to not become sedentary. I do believe that your sister could recover a lot of her strength and stamina if she made up her mind to do so. I always watch those people on My 600 Pound Life and see them go from bedridden to active again.
Is part of the problem that her husband is willing in enable her? Do you believe she wants to change?

I'm glad you keep active, it makes a huge difference in quality of life. No, it's not her husband enabling her but he also doesn't want to rock the boat... He is a contractor and active at almost 70, though about to retire. He will stay busy after though. She is 62, grown children, hasn't worked, been social or active in years. I believe it is past physical issues/fear and trauma/mental health. She knows she has done this to herself - she said as much. She knows she should do better and even what to do, but I believe her efforts will be minimal at best. She is not hopeless. Like you mentioned about the 600 pound life folks, she can turn it around. We are having them over in a few weeks. I will bring it up again and see how I can help.

Thats great you care enough to ask. Sometimes the asking is the first step. I saw a TicTok that said if you do not do any exercise but wanted to stay mobile the one thing you should do each day is to get on the floor and get yourself up. Preferably unassisted and with no hands. I been doing this every day since. Especially now I have very little gym time.
