Good morning ~ raises hand to the meme! I hope you feel better and the gerd calms down. It's my one year surgiversary for revision and I have my WSL appt this morning! I've lost 59 pounds since starting that process and still have more to go, though I do not know where I will land. I refuse to let the number on the doctors scale affect me today. In fact I am drinking coffee and eating beforehand (never would do before) because my number is the only one that matters. My relationship with food has changed so much and I'm finding peace allowing in myself to have anything I want and make it fit my goals. I never thought I would feel this way about moderation. I mean, I'm here for a reason. With that, in all honesty the one thing I've proven I can't do in moderation is drink. I've stopped completely because I'm committed to getting to goal. This part is easy, but I'm struggling with the forever part of not drinking but that is exactly what needs to happen.
QOTD - I've been to a few Marine Corps Balls, a black tie Gala event for our local theater and black tie opening night Opera event - all were very fun!
Accountability - great 181.6 today
b- coffee, yogurt, granola and strawberries
l - ham and cheese sandwich
d- breakfast for dinner
s- cucumbers, jerky

You are doing GREAT! You have found the magic formula, stick to it.
The drink part doesn't have to be forever. For now, while you are losing, might be off the table, but once in maintenance you can indulge. Don't think of forever, take it one day at a time.
Happy surgiversary. I am sooooo proud of you!

Happy Revisiversary! You're doing great!
We can only consume so many calories and still be where we want. The more calories we drink, the fewer we can eat. You get to decide which you want to do. It's not all or nothing. Mix and match.

Amazing progress! Hope your WLS visit went well. I am an alcoholic and no longer drink but remember all those empty calories quite well. I can't drink in moderation and have proven it to myself time and time again. If you would like support for that here or an ear to bend, I'm more than happy to help whatever way I can. Regardless, you know yourself and it's so encouraging to see you do the things you need to do to get the WLS and improve your life. You don't have to worry about not drinking forever; just for today and take it one day at a time. You're a superstar with your commitment and follow through!
