G'morning all!

QJB - happy anniversary to you love birds. I wonder if at OH meetings they ever celebrate couples who met through this site. It would be a good segment.

Don't mean to jinx this but work wise I am nailing one deadline after another and sailing into the sunset. Very satisfying feeling. On the other hand I swear my body is falling apart : legs, shoulder, knees & neck...sounds almost like that kids' song. I gotta give myself a break exercise-wise but I am pushing hard because I wanna be in tip top shape for my niece's wedding. Last night I was in pain no matter what side I slept on.

QOTD: I did the monthly in person meetings my clinic had, and really enjoyed them, until with pandemic it fell apart and never got back off the ground. I also tried one FB group simply because I bought their protein, but sheesh talk about harsh. I get not sugarcoating when some one falls off the wagon for the 100th time and coming online asking for help, but these people were ruthless and very snarky. Not my style so I left them too. OH has been my only support and I hope this group stays together.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Left over buffalo chicken with legendary chips
  • Fage yogurt, jello, cold cuts w/cheese
  • Rotisserie chicken
  • E: HIIT & weights

Happy hump day.

These people are looking for attention, not help.

Maybe do alternating or every third day active recovery days until you leave? You already look amazing so won't lose that before the 12th!

I get equally annoyed when it's the other way around and support groups give terrible advice to make people feel better about the fact they had the yodel. I don't want to be yelled at for my bad choices but also, don't tell me it's ok.

Coincidentally, this happens on cookie groups online all the time. People will post a set of the ugliest most amateur cookies you have ever seen and then say the client hated them and want "real advice". 99% of the people will say the client was crazy and they are beautiful and not to be discouraged. I mean I don't want them to give up but YEEESSSSHHH someone needs to tell them the truth.

I like how we keep each other accountable without being mean here.

I totally get that. I'm in a fashion group (I admit very subjective) and sometimes I see a fit that is atrocious, but everybody says ooh and aah! I just stay quiet.
But going back to the FB bariatric group, people would post I had a cookie last night and I feel bad. The majority would say OK dust off and start again, as long as it's not an every day thing. Totally rational. But the moderator or the owner of the protein line would chime in and totally berate the person. I remember at one point I posted my pic when I reached goal (back in 2019) and somebody genuinely asked how did you do that. The owner stepped in and said she followed the plan, nothing more nothing less, it's not rocket science. I was just happy the remark was not pointed at me.

It would be so interesting if they did that for a conference. I wonder how many of them met due to surgery and are still together.

Productive days feel so good. I forgot about the in person meetings, I attended one weekly for I think about 3 years.

QOTD- No, but I did do some in person support groups. Unfortunately it was usually dominated by one woman who took over the meeting with all of her woe. It wasn't convenient, too late at night and too far away.

I changed out the cutter on my serger, after talking to the repair guy and now it cuts again. I tried to find the part online so I could order another just in case, but didn't have any luck. I'll look when I have more time. Where has this week gone, I can't believe it's already Wednesday.

I need to get back to work.

Have a great day everyone!
