For some reason I have a feeling you have hit a Pickle Bar or 2 in your lifetime.

The olive bar at Whole Foods always has a variety of pickled things but I have not been to a pickled things bar and now I want to.

Mornin' All!

I have class late this afternoon, and will make myself go to Aqua Zumba later on this morning (I think it might be too cold to walk or bike, but I'll check...). We had a 90-minute discussion about the Taylor Swift movie yesterday at my film group, so it was a good choice. For next time, they want to watch one of the Oscar nominees (the documentary category). One (the winner) is currently showing on PBS, and two of them are on Netflix, so I'll pick one of those three (the Netflix ones are more likely to stay on there for awhile, but we'll see...). In addition, I need to plan on something to make for a party on Friday night and my cookbook group meeting on Saturday. Ugh. Not feeling up to making anything at the moment.

well the chimney guy who came yesterday recommended a chimney rebuild (from the roofline up) rather than tuck pointing, because he thinks the mortar is too far gone. He said he can reuse the stones, though. I was expecting this to cost WAY more than the tuck pointing, but his bid was actually only $1000 more than the first one (I know $1000 isn't pocket change, but I was expecting it to be double the first bid). So now we have to decide what to do. Or have a third person come out and give us a third opinion. Both companies we've had out have great reviews with lots of people opining that they are really honest, so I guess this might come down to professional opinion rather than the second place gouging. But I hate having to make these decisions when there are conflicting opinions, and I know nothing about the topic.

QOTD: I wouldn't necessarily say I LOVE pickles, but if I'm out for a meal at some place like a deli that puts a dill pickle on every plate, I'm liable to eat mine plus all my pickle-hating companions' pickles, too.

coffee with half & half

Ratio yogurt, Danish rye bread with butter and SF jam

protein shake

Wasa cracker with tuna salad

sautéed vegetables with peanut sauce

have a great day, everyone!!

Ask first company to come back and bid out the job the other company has planned for you. Then you have an apple-to-apple comparison.

20 days in Maripul is a brutal watch, so is To Kill a tiger but in different ways. Maybe look at Bobbi Wine, the People's President which is on the national geo/disney plus (and you can usually do a free trail for 7 days if you don't have it). It's heavy but very interesting and covers an area of the world that not a lot pay attention to.
