Good Morning! It's the first day of Spring! It's also National Let's Laugh Day.

Ok, I have mentioned this before but I just can't get over the sorcery of it all. This 9 - 5 thing is amazing. When I worked from 6am - 7pm, I seriously had to eat like 10 times a day but 9 - 5 means that one mid-day meal suffices. Does this mean I could have been skinny this whole time if I just had a normal job? Lol, not likely, but it's truly amazing. Plus I am getting my GERD under control, so a lot of my hunger pangs are going away, too. I go on & off the PPI because I don't like the long term health effects, but I think I should probably just stick with it because I feel so much better when the GERD is gone.

My first Hungry Root meal was delish! But they said each meal should be 2 servings and I think that first meal made up would be 3 - 4 for me, so I might have to freeze some of what they sent me so it doesn't go to waste.

QOTD: Do you like pickles? I love the super sour ones but the mild garlic ones are not my favorite.

  • protein coffee
  • egg bites
  • leftover spicy lime chicken & black bean salad
  • baby carrots
  • chicken dumplings

Good morning and happy tuesday! I have been up since just before 2 and I have had all the coffee, watched all the things (no new Jon Stewart this morning....sadness!) and I'm ready for the day-ish. I have a meeting at 530 with my Asia team and then 4 hours of "please do not multi-task" training followed by a bunch of meetings. It is very hard to carve out 4 hours for focused training but this is the last of a series and I've had to reschedule it like 7 times so I'm just going to get it done today.

qotd - yes, all pickles, spicy sweet are probably my favorite but I love garlic, dill, pickled carrots, pickled peppers, all goodness.

my chicken stew was not as good on day 2 and today is trash day so all my meal planning for the week is scrapped but I have plenty of things in the freezer to make up for it. I have my pilates trainer this evening and as soon as I post this I'm going to jump on the elliptical. Between being sick for about a week a few weeks ago, plus travel, I have not been feeling my workouts, I've been doing them but with less passion and intention. yesterday, I finally had a great rowing session again so I think I'm going to be back in my groove.

I'm also getting started on spring cleaning, I like to pick something each day and yesterday it was going through my dressers in my closet, stripping and changing over the bed for the season and putting all the laundry where it belongs. Mission accomplished! Today I will do my reading room and dining room after I get back from my trainer.

Good luck getting back in the groove. But you never quit so I am proud of you pushing through. Wish I had your motivation even on a bad day. Your always rock it.

Mornin y'all!

I got to meet a chainmaille friend yesterday and it went really well. It was nice to "talk shop" with someone in person! She is the first fellow chainmailler I've met.

After picking up the kids and after we got home I noticed I have a big bleed in my left eye. Normally one of these isn't concerning but with my history of ****iness in that eye with retinopathy I'm a little worried. It's also gotten a little worse since then and reached the center of my eye. I called my eye specialist's office and I should get a call back this morning. I had a pretty big headache yesterday for the better part of the day. That's not a good sign from my past experiences.

Depending on what the specialist says when they call back the only thing planned for the day is a trip to Walmart. We need to get some dog food and a few other things. That's the only thing planned. The pain is immense pr the usual. Trying to ignore it.

QOTD: I do like pickles. I can't do super spicy ones but they do taste good! I've been known to add a little bit of the pickling liquid to scrambled eggs. I'm a big fan of dill in general. I really love pickled jalapeños but they can be to spicy. I like the mixed veggies pickle. I guess it's safe to say I am a fan of the pickling process lol

M1: eggs, cheese, sausage, 4 crackers and coffee x 2

M2: half a serving of oatmeal

M3: taco salad

M4: PP shake

M5: I'm thinking it'll be tortilla soup

Facts. Snakes scare the life out of me. I have left friends behind when I was kid because I saw a snake.

A co-worker several years ago had snakes in their garage and going into their basement. He was asking people what to do. I told him to burn his house down and collect insurance.

lol! I have been scared of snakes when I see them in the wild. If they are behind glass (like at the zoo) I am ok. I have touched a snake at events where they are there for show and tell.

I actually think they are cool creatures but they are even cooler the further away from me they get. They fastest I have ever run in my life involved a rattle snake.
