"Old Lady Spring" pretty much sounds like a typical week for me. I am already living my best old lady life and I am thrilled about it :)

I had another good day in the office yesterday. I know this is going to sound really silly but since I have never had typical 9 - 5 hours, I have made an incredible revelation. When you start commuting at 5am and start working at 6am, it's a looooooong time until lunch. But yesterday I got in at 9am and I felt like I blinked before it was noon. It's much easier not to snack when meals are spread out evenly throughout the day. Who knew? (Ok, probably everyone else, lol).

Our kitties tried to trick me this morning. Grim fed them early then came back to bed. When I woke up, they followed me downstairs and swarmed my legs. I looked over and saw that there was still fresh food in their dishes, but they were crying and yelling at me, anyway. Little stinkers. I really appreciate their commitment to scamming for food, though.

QOTD: Do you have a big saved online cart at any store? My Etsy cart can get a little wild but I am pretty good about clearing that out regularly. But my Amazon wishlist is crazy. I am always adding things that look interesting, but when I go to buy the thing I really want or need, I shove the other stuff into the wishlist and it just sits there forever. If I ever actually bought everything in there Bezos could take another trip to space---completely on my dime ;)

Accountability: 100%!!!! My gerd is back under control and it really helps quell my appetite.

  • protein coffee
  • egg bites
  • chicken & avocado
  • balanced break
  • veggie burger

I hope to get out for a nice walk today. It's supposed to be sunny and high 50s. Yay!

Good mornin y'all!

Today looks to be rather boring. That's ok by me. I'm going to start some chicken taco soup in the crockpot either this morning or maybe tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it! It is a use a cane kind of day for my body. I am a little wobbly and the pain in my left side is really bugging me today. Going to a long day. I've been getting these itchiness episodes at night. Before I take a pain pill. It's really odd as it mainly hits my surgery scars...even the ones from the VSG and revision. The incision scars on my back are particularly itchy. So annoying.

We are going to go get food for the kids today, we took Rachel out so they'll get a treat too. They want McDonald's (eww). Randal let us know that his favorite food is meat. Riley wants a BLT but said she wouldn't mind a chicken sandwich either.

QOTD: I have a favorites list on Etsy a mile long. I only have one thing in my saved cart at Amazon...a smoker(I can dream right?).

All I've got planned for the day is breakfast is usual boiled eggs and stuff. I slipped up and didn't plan today so we'll see how I do. I won't be getting anything out so it should be decent.

talk about stinkers...

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

QOTD - I do have several book wishlists going - one just for tracking books that aren't out yet so I know when they are available and then can move to my holds list at the library (I have two libraries I can create holds for) or my kindle wishlist; I use my kindle wishlist to watch for books I want to go on sale via the daily or monthly deals. It works out pretty well. I don't have any wishlists or carts anywhere else.

Busy workday, I need to get some cardio in and maybe some weights, and then some chores around the house, nothing too exciting but all necessary.

menu today is

English muffin with cherry goat cheese

deli turkey and cheese slider

RGF bowl, I think it's orange chicken but it could be Korean chicken, either will be good.

Have a terrific tuesday everyone!

Morning all. I'm liking Daylight Saving so far. And it's been warmer, so it feels very much like spring. Time to put the snow shovels away.

I might do a little yard cleanup today. Otherwise, just my usual routine.

QOTD: I have a handful of things in my saved items at Amazon. Every once in a while I'll go through and delete some things to keep it small. I have a lot of wishlist items on Audible. Some have been there for a long time, and I really should delete those. But those are the only two places I think I have things saved.

This surprised me a little. As crowded as some places are, most of the US is very empty.

lol...it was 66 yesterday, 60 today and they've issued a winter storm warning starting tomorrow night. We've gotten some of our biggest blizzards around St Patrick's day but I don't think this will be one of them - maybe a foot.

That map is great but also doesn't give the full picture of how spread out the population in the mountain west is -- Look at Wyoming, that 50% is only about 275-300K people!

I know. Half the population of Wyoming is still only a couple of towns in my area.
