I want to get up to PEI, Nova Scotia, that area at some point. I have a good friend that is a Newfie and we were talking about it but then she has a cousin that lives in Malta and I want to go there more so we're thinking about that next year.
The people carrying on about Taylor and the football stuff are so ridiculous.

A comedian had a funny bit on Prince Edward Island when he did a series of shows there. He said the town he appeared in had 12 stores. 4 sold fudge, and the other 8 were all Anne of Green Gables stuff.
We always look when we travel, and have yet to see a tourist destination that doesn't have fudge shops.

It's true, our mountain towns have the same fudge and taffy shops as the beach towns.

Good morning and happy Wednesday! It is FINALLY the end of January!
Congratulations QJB!! They will be lucky to have you!
I did not get up from my desk from 730 yesterday until almost 5 so outside of the yogurt, I ate nothing on my menu yesterday, did nome of the chores I had planned and was basically a two episodes of Reacher watching noodle all evening and then I took my book and went to bed early. So glad I did my workout and I did get that last load of laundry washed and dried yesterday....yay for that.
Today is not as hectic at work so will be a little more normal! I will get in half an hour on the elliptical, I want to do one of my dribble up workouts to make sure my weekly streak continues to 96 and then I do need to fold and put away all the laundry.
QOTD -- I have lots of work travel!
My next work trip will be to Warsaw, Poland for a day and Tiel Netherlands (about an hour outside Amsterdam) for 2.5 days and then to Tampa for 2.5 days. I did manage to arrange it so I have a free Saturday in Amsterdam. With short notice, I wasn't expecting to be able to get tickets to the Anne Frank House but I did! I also booked a 3 hour walking food tour that afternoon. I've spent some time in Poland before but this will be my first time in AMS outside of the airport transit.
Vacation wise, my niece graduates in May so I'll do a family long weekend then, I want to take my BFF on a long weekend after her next (and hopefully final) surgery from her colonoscopy disaster in 2022, and 3 friends and I are going to South Africa later this year for 3 weeks - 4 days in Cape Town, 6 days driving the garden route with various hotels booked, 2 days at a winery and 4 days on safari....plus 26 hours of travel each way. Will be amazing.
menu today
coffee plus half and half X3
skyr
turkey and cheese on a sandwich thin
gringo tacos on zero carb tortillas
Have a terrific Wednesday, everyone!

Whoa I'm amazed at your upcoming vacation itinerary! That is awesome!

I don't know how you do consistent eating and exercise routines with all your travel. I would find it impossible.

Eating can be a bit harder although I do a better job on work trips than on vacation! Even at 300lbs I always made a point of getting out and walking the cities my work takes me too, now it's a lot more fun....and getting up in the morning and exercising helps with my decision to ignore time zones as fake constructs.

I cannot imagine a day trip to Poland. You are incredible. The rest of your vacations sound amazing.
Oooh you reminded me about family celebrations coming up this spring and summer. We've got another kiddo graduating from West Point in May. And a cousin is retiring from the Army in June, so those will be long weekends out and about the east coast.
