Currently 18 degrees out and we are waiting for freezing rain this afternoon, it was supposed to be this morning but the weather guessers have changed it to this afternoon. I've only been out to get the mail and I walked very carefully.

I probably need to run out and put the garbage out, since the website showed that they are picking up today.

Good afternoon. It's late. I've already shoveled twice, used the snowblower, and went to breakfast while it was still dark.

Do you folks follow conversations others have in public? I hear snippets of things, but don't follow closely. But JB does. After we left the diner this morning her eyes were huge. She said the waitress was trying to pick up a customer who was eating alone. OK. But she said part of her pitch was that she lived alone now -- because her kids got taken away by DCF.

QOTD: I can't think of a recent TV family. When I was really young, I thought it would be nice to be Mark's brother on tv, with Chuck Connors as my dad. It's just as well I didn't. Mark got kidnapped about 57 times, got trapped in abandoned mines 23 times, and got swallowed up by quicksand 9 times. Chuck might not have been such a good dad after all.
