Good moring menu peeps! I slept in until 6 - rare but glorious. Yesterday was nice and full of naps and nod offs. Although I had to rewind it several times, I finished Gilded Age - good ending! I must have really over done it at the gym on Friday because everything I do hurts including standing, sitting and reaching. That's pretty much everything, right? I mean, i didn't go crazy with the amount of weight - I took it easy there, but was very intentional about form, reps and sets. This old girl probably stirred up all kinds of body drama trama. But, I can't wait to go back! I really loved it. Today I need to do laundry and pack for work conference this week. I'm leaving from work tomorrow after a meeting. Otherwise, dog walking and chilling!

QOTD - When it comes to spending money on clothes, do you have weird stops and hell-no's on things? For clothing, I have no problem spending money on good shoes, bags, jewelry but I can't spend more than $30 for everyday jeans and sweaters unless it is a spectacular peice then maybe $50 for a gorgeous sweater. For basics it's $20 or less. Special occasions don't count, I buy what I like there.

Accountability - good, but 188.9 today. I am bloated and swollen so I'm just gonna roll, literally haha

b- coffee, eggbeaters and salsa

l - blacken chicken strips, cheese and crackers

d - grilled chicken and crispy baby reds

s - greek yogurt dip w/veggies

800/80 - no lie- on the dot today!

Have a lovely day!

When I worked at a job that required a suit and button up shirt or blouse, I would buy really good quality but always waited for sales or tried to go to shops that carried high quality for lower prices. Burlington often had that and there were some in Detroit. Now i buy my yoga pants from Walmart and sweatshirts from Amazon. I will buy one or two really nice tops and pants sets a year for dress-up occasions but go to sales and look for bargains. I can usually find an $80 top marked down to about $30.

Good morning! And welcome to couch potato day for me! Yay!! In keeping with my intentions, I've met all my mini goals (boasting details tomorrow) and today is rest for the weary day. And I think I need it. My legs are seriously not happy.

My yesterday went off as planned. Dinner was great. I chose to skip my actual dessert, but did try maybe a quarter cup of the Brandini toffee, almond, cashew popcorn our friends brought. It was good, but not THAT good. Easy to walk away. I made my mocktail champagne for the toast, a win at zero calories and maintained to one nice glass of wine and then switched back to water. And I really enjoyed my piece of 5 cheese garlic toast. All things that were accounted for in my daily tally. With my walk factored in, I only went over total calories by about 100. I usually don't allow myself to use back exercise calories that I've earned, but you know, it was a celebration.

PP/Jen, I upped my game on the pesto chicken. I blistered the cherry tomatoes first in a 425 degree oven for 20 minutes and did add the italian seasoning and salt and pepper before the burrata. I also did a fresh drizzle of the balsamic reduction, a sprinkle of fresh basil and microplaned really great pecorino on top when serving. Our friends were raving about it.

QoTD: I do balk at paying prices for some/most things. I'll see a beautiful sweater at Macy's and then be like 229.00?? Nope! Since retiring and having time on my hands, I've enjoyed just wandering and see if I can find a great mark down price. My favorite dress of this last summer was $4.90 on a Macy's clearance rack. I also struggle with leggings. Are Lululemon's really worth the price? Or Athleta's? I've never owned any, so I can't compare, but I have a few pairs of yoga pants that are like butter and so comfy and I think I got them at Target and Costco.

Today I have no plans past making breakfasts for our overnight guests before they leave. Ahhhhhh. So happy. No work out to amp myself up to and get it done.

B: egg and 2 strips bacon.

L: Charcuterie plate. Need to use up a few things from our Italian themed dinner last night

D: Leftover Pesto chicken and a 1/4 cup cooked orzo. By the way, a 1/4 cup cooked orzo is a lot!

Lots of water and hot tea and maybe another punch mocktail this evening.

Peace Everybody!

That sound delicious! each time you make it, it gets better. For your mocktails, what I am doing lately is club soda with bitters; my favorite so far is a generous splash of ginger bitters and a couple drips of smoked orange. Very tasty.

I get my legging at Old Navy (usually 50% off) and Target. I'll have to check out Costco. Everytime I make the effort to look at their clothes I always find things I like and so cheap! I love Macy's but most things get an eye roll for the price - it's ridiculous but they have great sales too. I bought my wedding dress (very casual) there - a Ralph Lauren for $80 marked down from $500. I love that dress.

Good morning and happy Sunday!! I am so annoyed, my rower rebooted 27 minutes into my 38 minute row! I was at 5800 on the row threshold of 6400, so I just did another 1600 and called it good but there were several f bombs dropped. I am also dealing with weird soreness so will do some stretching tonight and maybe use the massage chair thing.

QOTD - I have started paying more for jeans because I love the Judy Blue jeans but outside of that, I'll pay for good shoes and then I try to find the dupe version of things or buy on sale. I get all my Athlete in the half yearly sales, it's worth it at half price not at full.

Well, my workout is done, I have two tasks that I need to get done today (I did all my tasks I set for myself yesterday) and when I woke up early this morning I started watching Brothers Sun on Netflix, it's pretty good. Has Michelle Yeoh and she's just always good. I have a zoom with friends this evening and that's it for me!

Have a fantastic Sunday!
