Good Morning! I might just end up being that woman today. I am not sure why, but my tolerance level for... anything, was a bit low yesterday. Apologies to Grim who had to put up with me being snippy and mad about nothing in particular all day. Lord knows it wasn't a sugar low. I finally took an inventory of the food we have leftover and 99.9% of it was carbs and dessert. I partook of more than I should have, but less than I could have, so I can't call it a "win" exactly. Maybe today I will find the strength to actually toss it.

Today is new fridge day! Yay! Gotta run and get those magnets off and clear a path for them to bring it in :)

QOTD: Do you have an external ice maker in your fridge? I'd never had one until I moved here, and I love it! Brilliant to be able to put your cup up to it and get fresh ice on demand. I would be so sad if I had to go back to ice cube trays.

Food is still a little up in the air again because of the unknown timing of the fridge delivery, but my best guess is:

  • protein coffee
  • egg bites
  • insides of chicken tacos
  • veggie burger

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

This is the busiest work day for me but I'm also logging off at 1pm for a hair cut and then working out with my trainer; will probably jump on again after I get home. Oh and I need to go to the UPS store to pick up a wine delivery and send back a pair of jeans that I didn't care for. I have one customer presentation this morning too, it's unlikely but I won't be sad if they decide they want to just do the presentation next week, lol.

QOTD - yes but I rarely use ice. I dump it I my garbage disposal when I run the dishwasher because my cousin said it's good for the disposal but outside of that, the ice usually gets freezer burned, lol.

menu today

coffee plus half and half X2

No ice? That's the biggest differentiation between you and Grim that I've seen yet.

I eat green things, like spicy things, and I drink coffee not soda. I have much less reach too, lol.

How do you make your Italian beef? Did you hear that Amazon is starting to charge $1 for UPS store drop off returns? It's applicable when you have a Kohl's or Whole Paycheck within the same radius as the UPS store.

I did hear that. The UPS store is considerably closer than Kohls or Whole Foods so I'm good, although this one is not an Amazon return, so I have to actually package it and everything.

Combine the roast, a packet of zesty Italian salad dressing mix, a jar or peppeoncini with juice, and a can of beef broth. 1 hour on high in the crockpot and then 6-7 hours on low or until you can shred it with two forks. Not traditional but super easy and delish.

I have seen and experienced that already. It is a crock of s#@t. We can also drop off at Staples or Office Max. Not as convenient as UPS.

Mornin y'all!

somewhat of a busy day ahead. We have to get groceries and then the kids are coming over to stay the night. Not 100% sure when they'll be coming over. I am feeling more ok emotionally. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I often hurt my own feelings more than others do. I'm learning to let go of things that hurt more easily. After all it only hurts me to dwell on things.

It would seem I'm back in the land of insomnia for a long time. I am nervous about the nerve ablation but hopeful it will at least help with the back pain. The Tylenol 4s are helping but not lasting the 8 hours, which is no surprise. I am hoping she'll up them to at least 4 times a day. I have two test injections in January and if they have good results they'll do the ablation.

We're doing enchiladas for new years and Texas/cowboy caviar for new years. My mom wants beef and shrimp enchiladas so we'll be making two different kind. One with corn and one with lower carb tortillas. The beef will have a red sauce and the shrimp will have a sour cream sauce. We're going to do jalapeños poppers too.

QOTD: we don't have any ice makers. Our water is VERY hard. I just keep my water pitcher in the fridge for cold water. I want one of those ice makers that make pebbles. Sooooooo much but they are pricey.

breakfast was eggs and half a brownie. Ugh. Food has been a nightmare. I think this weekend I'll sit down and make out a menu for the month. Shop for that menu and not buy anything other than what's on that list.

have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Mel
